Built around a California-style culinary philosophy that takes heavy cues from the seasons, Upland balances a familiar rusticity with a smart global approach, all enhanced with a New Yorker’s eye for detail. The restaurant offers an artful array of starters, entrees and sides, each plate accented with chef Justin Smillie’s enticing and urbane touch. The wine program, overseen by beverage manager Chantelle Pabros, matches the excitement coming out of Upland’s open kitchen, with a worldly 500-bottle list and a clever by-the-glass selection that’s remarkably food-friendly.

"We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Had an early reservation at 5 pm on a Sunday. Restaurant filled up by the time we finished. Very attentive service. Loved the mackerel and striped bass. Truffle pizza was a little salty. Delicious bread. Glass jars in the entrance and along back wall are a little creepy. Also, restaurant is on 26th, not Park Ave South."

Hank's Seafood Restaurant is located in a turn of the century warehouse overlooking the historic district. This restaurant recreates a Classic Charleston Fish House with an old fashioned saloon style bar and an exhibition raw bar.<br />Unable to find the right reservation time? We have a full service, full menu community table that is seated on a first come-first served basis. We look forward to seeing you soon!

"Had high expectations since we read so many great reviews before dining at Hanks. We were slightly disappointed. Seafood was very good, not out of this world. Menu is huge. Almost too large. Dishes are kind of old school."

Paloma, by Chef Aarón Sánchez, is a lively, Latin-inspired grill featuring a range of offerings, from whole roasted meats from the restaurant's wood grill to an extensive raw bar, ceviche, grilled seafood, and a variety of shareable plates. Paloma also offers a wide range of classic and contemporary cocktails that represent a wide selection of handcrafted spirits from Central and South America, including tequila, mezcal, pisco, cachaca, and rum. The restaurant features both indoor and outdoor seating, along with a private dining room and bar dining options for larger parties.

"Great place to share lots of small plates. Great outdoor setting. Food was better the first time we ate here."
