Located in the heart of San Francisco’s historic Jackson Square neighborhood, Cotogna is a lively, comfortably-stylish restaurant featuring rustic Italian cuisine. Adjoining Quince, Lindsay and Chef Michael Tusk’s celebrated fine dining restaurant, Cotogna (meaning ‘quince’ in Italian), offers a seasonally-changing menu featuring spit-roasted or grilled meats and game birds, wood-oven pizzas, house-made pastas, fresh local seafood, salads, salumi and cheeses. A sophisticated, seasonal cocktail program features innovative cocktails, while the approachable wine program (all bottles for $50 and all glasses for $12) focuses on Northern Italian varieties.

"This was my first time at Cotogna and hopefully will not be only trip there. Chef Tusk has created a delicious menu and serves it in an exciting atmosphere. To me, the food is as satisfying as his offerings next door at Quince (where I ate the following night). Perhaps not as elaborate or complex, but then Italian shouldn't be. The wood burning grill is an added bonus because the lamb chops coming off it are fantastic. I tried 2 pasta dishes. A large ravioli filled with burata cheese and a soften egg yolk...worth every calorie. A second pasta laced with fresh English peas...clean and simple. The pasta itself was perfectly cooked. The restaurant is really not that big but does offer some bar seating. The wine offerings are more than adequate for most anyone. The service was efficient and friendly. Complimentary valet service is readily available. I highly recommend Cotogna."

Step inside Il Fornaio and take a culinary journey through Italy. Early mornings bring rustic, crisp crusted bread hot from the oven accompanied by the scent of fresh brewed espresso. During lunch and dinner hours, pastas and flavorful sauces simmer while meats and vegetables roast over hot coals. Bottles of wine from small, regional wineries are uncorked to complement the dishes, which have been crafted in the custom of Italy's chefs, bakers and homemakers. Il Fornaio means "the Baker" in Italian. This award-winning restaurant offers an authentic and unique Italian dining experience.

"Il Forniao in Irvine is consistently good, well served, in one of the nicer dining venues in Orange County. The bread basket offers 3 different breads of high quality...don't be shy about asking for more since the staff is very gracious and generous. My wife and I dine here at least once a month and find spliting 2 appetizer size pastas and sharing 1 entree more than enough food for both of us (too much bread). Desserts are good, not great, so I personally would pass on them. The wine selection is more than adequate for most wine drinkers. Valet parking is readily available and the restaurant validates."

"I have eaten at Scott's a few times now and have never been disappointed with the food, service, or ambience. I don't consider myself a "fish eater" but when the mood strikes I choose to go to Scott's and never leave hungry. I especially enjoy the cioppino which I feel any San Franciso restaurant would be proud to serve. I also am impressed with their wine offerings and have no problem finding excellent choices from their wine by the glass options. The restaurant itself is a very pleasant dining room. It is large so the diners are well spaced and the colors are light and clean. The restraurant's proximity to shopping and entertainment make it an excellent dining choice if paired with either activity. Valet parking is very convenient and reasonably priced."
