Matteo's Reviews

Ago, the elegant Italian Trattoria named after its celebrated executive chef partner Agostino Sciandri, is one of the latest additions to grace the enclave of prestigious restaurants in West Hollywood. Satiating the palate is an unusual and enticing variety of pasta dishes, seafood and steaks, Spaghetti allo Scglio, and Risotto Ai Funghi.

"Food great - superb mussels. Italian maitre' d and staff all very friendly, timely and helpful. Ambience traditional but very attractive and the whole experience made for a great date night. Will definitely revisit, and I recommend it."

All day dining with a full bar and extensive wine list. New American cuisine with Western European influences. Duplex strives to use local, organic, sustainable produce, hormone-free meats and poultry. Visionary designer, Thomas Schoos creates a beautiful and comfortable space with a residential theme which is both warm and contemporary. Perfect spot for a business lunch, formal dinner and special occasions. Leisurly patios, bar and lounge and private event spaces available.

"Beautiful interior. Staff friendly, a little hurried and harried. Food good, not over the top great, but good. Wine list reasonable. Will return - its worth it."

La Vecchia Cucina has been Santa Monica, California's finest neighborhood Italian restaurant since 1990, located by the blue Pacific on historic Main Street. Whether you're in the mood for a quick lunch, a full course dinner, an evening snack, or something in between, La Vecchia Cucina offers outstanding Italian cuisine, a great wine list, a luxurious selection of desserts, a full bar, great service and a relaxed atmosphere. News: La Vecchia Cucina is NOW OPEN FOR LUNCH all week.

"I live in Beverly Hills, regularly dine at best Italian restaurants in BH and throughout the city. I hate to say it in a way - because it spoils the secret, but La Vecchia deserves to be recognized as the singular best Italian restaurant in LA. Food, Service, Pricing - everything is simply done to perfection. I cannot wait to go back - it is worth the drive from wherever you are located. Note that it has a great bar too. While tables are pretty close to one another its nowhere near the way they pack them in like sardines at say - Il Pastaio or other well known and attended restaurants that can't hold a candle to the food and service of La Vecchia. My compliments to the chef, ownership, and staff!"
