“Mourayo” is Greek for safe harbor where fishermen moor their boats. Mourayo offers healthy, fresh, innovatively refined Greek cuisine. Our regional variations on meats, fish, poultry and legumes have been inspired by the traditional Greek and Mediterranean food culture. We aspire to present an original cuisine concept of this coastal land of blue skies and sparkling blue waters with its thousands of islands! Let us sail you to the Aegean Sea and experience Greek cuisine like never before. We validate Parking after 5:30pm at 2001 S Street (Laz Parking) Monday-Friday

"Mourayo is one of those restaurants that doesn't scream at you for attention. Instead, it quietly offers an excellent dining experience. The food is very good, the wine selection unusual and delicious and the service efficient and good. You can concentrate on enjoying friends while having a great meal -- you can even hear what they are saying to you.
We have recently moved to the neighborhood and Mourayo is quickly becoming our favorite spot!"

"Luckily we were seated at the quietest spot in the dining room. Otherwise this place would have gotten panned by me. It simply can get too noisy here. Having said that, the food, wine and service were really quite good. Now if they could just turn the sound down a bit!"

La Chaumiere is as close as it gets to dining in a French country inn. Now entering its 37th year, La Chaumiere features traditional dishes like escargots en coquille, boudin blanc, quenelles of pike, cassoulet and Grand Marnier souffle. Chef Patrick's specials reflect a modern approach to seasonal produce, seafood and game with favorites like baked oysters, Dover sole and rabbit. La Chaumiere has won the "100 Best Restaurants" award 29 times since 1978!

"This was hardly the first time we have eaten at La Chaumiere. And it won't be the last. It is hard to find quenelles on a menu these days and they were just wonderful at lunch. My husband ordered from the restaurant week menu while I ordered off the regular menu. Great to have that option. We were seated at one of the least desirable tables but there really were no other options. And it probably made for a quieter table."
