RJ, Jerrod and Molly, in conjunction with partners chef Doug Psaltis and mixologist Paul McGee, have created their own destination for country music lovers to enjoy a cocktail, grab a bite and have some fun.

Chef Psaltis created Bub City’s new menu with a focus on authentic barbecue. Signature items include Burnt Ends, Baby Back Ribs, Carolina Style Pulled Pork and 18 hr. Beef Brisket. Large groups can enjoy the “Whole Pork Picnic” featuring Slow-Smoked Pork Shoulder served with four sides.

Nationally-acclaimed mixologist and partner Paul McGee has brought innovation to the cocktail menu at Bub City. McGee spent months finding a collection of whiskey, and now Bub City boasts a bar offering more than 125 selections.

"The brunch here is my favorite time to go. The bloody mary bar is unreal - shrimp, grilled cheese, oysters - just incredible. And I could have eaten an entire order of those crazy good sticky buns to myself. Everyone loved what they ordered and it wasn't as crowded as it can be most nights so it made it really enjoyable. I would definitely recommend it and will absolutely be going back."

Welcome to El Mariachi! They have a strict policy of only serving top quality, authentic dishes and the best margaritas. It has been family owned and operated for over 15 years. They offer a more genuine and unique experience than your typical Mexican restaurant with an extensive selection of over 150 tequilas (100% Blue Agave), if you don"t believe it come and see for yourself. Also, they are famous for tableside guacamole prepared at your table fresh to order, and offer the most authentic regional Mexican cuisine in all of Lakeview! The authentic Mexican experience is enhanced with imported handcrafted decor and artwork, intimate lighting and traditional mariachi music. They also have and outstanding patio and party room that can accommodate around 100 people. If you would rather be the host they can cater the food for your event! So next time you need to plan an event contact your friends at El Mariachi. You don't want to miss out! Hope to see you soon, your friends at El Mariachi.

"I went here with a couple of girlfriends recently and had a great time. We stayed way past eating and continued to be served mimosas and were never rushed. The food was fine, nothing to write home about but definitely not skimpy like other all you can drink specials. Would definitely go back."

"This was my second time here and the food continues to be terrific. I love the seasonal selection and a couple girlfriends and I split a few small plates and each was better than the next. Our waitress wasn't incredibly friendly but brought out a special birthday dessert for my friend which was really nice. Skip the chocolate chip cookies, and go for the cocktails."

Taverna 750 is the best of old school Italian with a contemporary flair. Paul D. Cannella's was inspired by Grandfather Paul J. Loverde's and Uncle Chuckie Abruzzini's classic Italian recipes from their restaurant on Grand Avenue from the 40's to the 60's. All of the entrees will be small plates, meant for sharing at the table. Most are less than $10 and the martinis include a sidecar. Bottom line is that Taverna is an extremely great value.

"I was really hoping I'd like this place since it's different for the neighborhood and close to my apartment. But I'd rather it not be all you can drink mimosas if the service is going to be so slow and unhelpful. If anything could make up for it, it would be the food but unfortunately that was terrible as well. My veggie hash was all tasteless couscous and uncooked shredded potato. The other dishes looked better but incredibly heavy and small for the price. My friend who suggested the place actually apologized for how bad it was. Will not be going back."
