"Went recently for Sunday brunch. Seated on time with our reservation. Excellent selection of interesting and very fresh salads, entrees, and desserts. Very attentive and energetic service. Could not have asked for more. Highlights were the fried chicken, omelets, Canadian bacon, all desserts, and especially the buttermilk biscuits and cinnamon rolls. Wished we lived closer to visit more often. Will definitely return."

Half Moon is a casual American Restaurant serving Hudson Valley produce, Montauk seafood, ceviches, and raw bar. The Beach Bar located outside offers unsurpassed views of the Hudson and Manhattan Skyline. The North patio offers guests full service dining, the South patio provides guests with a limited menu .

"We have been several times before and generally visit this restaurant when we can sit outside. The views are great and the ambience is terrific when you are adjacent to the Hudson River. The food is fair to good and just depends on what you order and your expectations. The clam chowder seemed to lack clams and the lobster and avocado salad was a bit bland(the avocado was good but the lobster was lacking some taste). The salmon dinner was good-a very nice portion that was cooked to order and the tuna dinner was also nicely prepared. Dessert was average as the blueberry peach crumble seemed to lack some crumble. Anyway it is still one of the better places for drinks and dining when you desire a river/water view."

"Met out of town friends for a very relaxing dinner. Had a drink at the bar which is cozy and had a friendly bartender. Seemed to take a while to get menus and the initial table service once we were seated. While the food was the usual 'very special', it seems the waiter needs some polishing-granted our table had some unique food allergies which needed attention, but the waiter at one or two points seemed rushed. The head of the house intervened on an occasion to assist with making sure that the food did not contain ingredients that would be a problem. He was very helpful
Anyway, very nice dinner with a terrific selection of appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Will surely go back at a later date.
