Belga cafe is a great place to eat typical Belgian cuisine. Combining an intriguing atmosphere with excellent, light and healthy interesting food. Belga Cafe is a little bit of Brussels on the Hill, with an open kitchen and a sidewalk cafe.

Where southeastern Europe meets South East D.C.

Our aim is to put together the finest products of the New World and Old World for your dining pleasure. Perennially on the edge of great empires, the Balkans owes much of its food culture to its history, geography, and climate. The term Balkan is generally believed to come from the Turkish word meaning: “a chain of wooded mountains.” With a desire to introduce Washington, D.C. to cutting edge Balkan cuisine, proprietor Ivan Iricanin has created a dining space that will delight and indulge the senses. Primarily featuring “small plates,” Ambar will also offer wines and spirits from the Balkans not often experienced by the American diner.

Béarnaise transports the flavors of Paris to Capitol Hill. Located at 3rd and Pennsylvania Ave. Southeast, Béarnaise serves bistro fare in a humble, but chic, atmosphere describes as "A French Revelation" by The Washington Post.

Inspired by their childhood memories in Montreal and years of training and living around France Chef Spike Mendelsohn and his sister, Micheline Mendelsohn Luhn, opened the bistro to rave reviews.

In the lively dining room, guests dine on classic French dishes with a twist in comfty leather booths surrounded by antique mirrors and vibrant original artwork from Parisian galleries. Pair your meal with a bottle of wine and indulge in decadent desserts to make any meal feel like an escape to France.

The Nougatine Terrace at Jean-Georges is open daily for lunch and dinner, weather permitting.

Diners can enjoy the full Nougatine menu or sip on a signature cocktail at the outdoor bar. The Terrace, with Dedon furniture designed by Philippe Starck, is situated next to Central Park in Columbus Circle. Plush lounge seating enhances the relaxing setting and makes this outdoor space the best place to enjoy a sunny day in New York City.

"We had seats on the terrace with a lovely view of the park. Midway through the meal, rain struck and the staff deftly cleared the terrace and found alternate seating for everyone inside. Although it was undoubtedly a stressful time for the staff, they maintained their composure and kept everyone informed of the status of their new tables. The rain break in the meal and wait for a new table did nothing to diminish the quality of the food or service."

For over eighty-five years, New York's defining cultural moments have taken place at Russian Tea Room. Ever since members of the Russian Imperial Ballet founded the restaurant in 1927, it has been a second home for boldface names and the intellectual elite-an exclusive enclave where actors, writers, politicians, and businessmen planned their next deals and feted their friends' latest Carnegie Hall performances.

Meet Neyla, the Mediterranean spirit of prosperity, abundance, and success. The restaurant that celebrates her is a treat for the senses and social graces. Both elegant and comfortable, Neyla is inspired by Romanesque Mediterranean villas, and influenced by the myriad peoples who settled in that wondrous part of the world. Neyla is a delightful mix of exotic cultures, inspired in the homes, hearths and taverns of the rugged land known first as Phoenicia, then the Ottoman Empire, and later the Republic of Lebanon. From nomadic Arab tribes, Ottoman Turks, Egyptians, Greek and French rulers, Neyla's food melds the best of all the Mediterranean cultures. Vegetables, salads, grilled meats and fish are set off by light, and subtly spiced sauces. Coriander, cinnamon, basil, thyme, Turkish pastries, coffee with cardamom and of course the renowned Lebanese mezzas tell the tongue a story of four thousand years of culinary history.
