Our inspiration for this restaurant was the Unites States of America past and present.

What is American food? We believe it has become a blend of traditional American dishes and those from around the world. Today, cities nationwide are immersed with regional and ethic foods... Our menu brings together traditional American and global cuisine with our own interpretation and personal touch.

Our decor is a reflection of American industry with iron, concrete, wood, and steal. Pops of leather, bronze and copper colors warm it up along with our modern 60" fireplace.

"Fat City Kitchen is a nice addition to the West End of Alexandria. The beer and wine list are excellent. The menu offers a lot of solid American standards at reasonable prices. The food is generally well prepared. The restaurant does suffer from the unfortunate trend to add bacon to EVERYTHING. It is not at all vegetarian friendly. Service is okay, but not more. At a recent brunch it appeared they were doling out the coffee very carefully."

Tonic at Quigley’s Bar and Restaurant offers classical American cuisine with a contemporary Southern twist. Tonic is located in the heart of Washington DC’s historic Foggy Bottom neighborhood.

Come and enjoy signature tater tots with homemade dipping sauces, weekly specials and craft beers on draft. Tonic at Quigley’s Bar and Restaurant caters to all tastes.

Tonic at Quigley’s Bar and Restaurant serves 12 beers on tap, 14 wines by the glass, and many specialty cocktails that complement our new American menu.

A quick stroll from the Foggy Bottom Metro and a few blocks from the Kennedy Center, Tonic at Quigley’s Bar and Restaurant is the perfect place for a happy hour cocktail, a fun night out, or a leisurely brunch. No matter your mood, Tonic cures what ails you.
"Tonic is on the GWU campus and draws a young, lively crowd, without being a college bar. The food is good, having a Southern American bent, fried chicken, pulled pork BBQ, kale, good burgers. The Beer list is extensive. Service is friendly and fast, prices are reasonable. A good place to meet a friend for a casual dinner."

"This is a hot spot even mid-week; reservations are a good idea. The menu is both eclectic and interesting, combining lots of basic American comfort foods, pizza, burgers, fried chicken, etc., with an interesting twist on many. The food is well executed and service is fast. It is loud and busy, so not a place to linger or hold a serious conversation, but a decent meal at reasonable prices."
