JustThinking's Reviews

Winston was born out of a desire among local residents for a quality of dining that is "honest and approachable." The New American cuisine offers seasonal produce and classic culinary technique. A deep roster of new and old world wines, handcrafted draft beers and house cocktails compliment the extensive dining menu. All of this is served in our comfortable townhouse setting, reminiscent of the Hudson Valley's classic tavern traditions.

The three-story restaurant features a gastropub ground floor, fine-dining on the second floor, and an open-air rooftop bar & lounge - the only of its kind in Mount Kisco. Each floor features slightly different menus, all tied together by a unified theme and approach. Winston's multi-level space speaks to the factories and artisan shops of the area's rich history, highlighting the original brick, steel, and wood features. Within this handsome and comfortable aesthetic, each floor was designed with flexibility in mind.

"We had a nice dinner. The host/waitstaff are warm and friendly, the design beautiful. It is very noisy, so you just need to be prepared for that type of dinner. All four of us enjoyed our entrees. We each had an entree including duck, chicken and fish, 2 of us had salads, no desserts. Everything we had was very good - tasty, and well presented. We had no wine only a couple of soft drinks. Unfortunately, the entrees are overpriced, so the bill after tip was over $200. This was like a lot of money considering no drinks, no desserts, and only 2 of the 4 of us having a first course. We enjoyed our meal, would recommend it for quality of food, but wish the entree prices were more aligned with other good restaurants in Westchester."

"Great experience at RX. Food selection was interesting and all our dishes (6 people) were delicious. Nice wine selection. Being farm to table the food selection was limited, but diverse enough to satisfy everyone's palates. The shrimp and grits dish was perfect, as were the fried green tomatoes. Several of us had the blueberry tart for dessert which was homemade and wonderful. Upon finishing our meal we knew we would be making a reservation for their sister restaurant, Pembroke's."

"22 North has been a go to spot for us for the past few years, while not great ambiance, the food was always delicious. It was not the best experience for us this year. The shrimp and grits dish usually a stand-out had an odd consistency and flavor. Other dishes were not up to their usual standard. Although we usually eat at 22 North multiple times during our three week visit, this year we did not. We will try it again next year based on previous experiences."

Our mission is to achieve such distinction in food and wine, service, atmosphere, and setting that the restaurant gains a first-class reputation for gastronomy and gracious hospitality, which will bring new and repeat customers year after year. We strive to have every customer who walks through the doors of Crave to have an overall dining "experience" and leave impressed with the seasonal and regionally-inspired menus and chic decor that they will be excited to return again. The team of chefs, consisting of alumni of the Culinary Institute of America, aim to make Crave the most exciting restaurant in Poughkeepsie. The style, decor, and ambiance of Crave brings Manhattan to Washington Street. Located just under the entrance of the Walkway Over the Hudson, make a reservation for dinner or enjoy cocktails on our patio then take a walk over the Hudson and enjoy the views of our breathtaking Hudson Valley.

Henry's at the Farm, where "local" is more than a trend, it is our mantra. Henry's is only steps away from Buttermilk's organic Millstone Farm and minutes away from neighboring farms where eggs, honey, herbs and seasonal produce make their way from field, to our kitchen, then to your table. Henry's dinner menu is country inspired, contemporary cuisine incorporating sophisticated entrees with mouthwatering burgers, intriguing pizzas and a daily selection of house-made desserts.

Nikólas at the Logan Inn is a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant that focuses on seafood and steaks. Nikólas offers both an Ala Carte Menu and a Prix Fixe Menu in the main dining areas. The Tavern menu is also available everyday at the inside Tavern.

"We has a great experience at Nilolas. The food was delicious. The only issue for us is the inflexibility of the chef to make changes to the menu. This seems ridiculous in light of the caliber of restaurant and the many diet restrictions required by customers."
