Rural Society is a contemporary Argentine steakhouse from nationally renowned master of Latin cuisine Chef Jose Garces. Inspired by his travels to South America, Rural Society is at once rustic and luxurious, bringing the energy and sophistication of Buenos Aires to Washington. Our menu and primarily South American wine list, combined with our warm hospitality and welcoming décor, transport you far from the bustle of the District to the sweeping cattle ranches and grill-fired kitchens of Argentina.

"Being Argentine, I've long lamented that DC doesn't have any decent restaurants that serve Argentine food. This place, however, has taken care of that. The meat was delicious, the side dishes equally so, and the appetizers were satisfying."

The Liberty Tavern offers rustic, modern American cuisine in a historic 1907 building that has been beautifully restored and updated. Featuring an inviting street level bar and an intimate dining room on the second level, The Liberty Tavern offers an affordable, diverse wine list, creative specialty cocktails, and a great selection of premium draft and bottled beer. The comfortable, timeless ambiance will be enhanced by warm, hospitable service. Whether you’re joining us for a round of drinks in the bar, a casual midweek supper with your children, or a special evening with friends and family, you’ll be sure to feel at home. Liberty To-Go offers a separate carry-out entrance on Irving Street where wood-fired pizzas, grilled panini, fresh salads and other specialties will be conveniently offered for enjoyment at home.

"I've been here quite a few times, but for some reason, this month's menu just did not appeal to me. Apparently they'll be changing it in the coming weeks, so it'll be worth going again."

Chef/owner Jeffrey Buben's Vidalia features an expanded bar with 30 wines by the glass, a beautiful private dining room for groups up to 40 people, our wine room and a soft contemporary dining room featuring warm, rich fabrics incorporated in new booths, banquets and comfortable dining chairs. We look forward to seeing you and also invite you to Chef Buben's second restaurant, Bistro Bis, located next to the Hotel George on Capital Hill. Visit our web site at www.vidaliadc.com or www.bistrobis.com to find out more about both Vidalia and Bistro Bis.

"Although I made the reservation a week in advance, we were seated at a lonely table in the bar, and not in the dining area. It felt like we'd been exiled. Our waiter rarely came by and we had to hunt him down to pay the check. Given that we at lunch during our work break, it was rather stressful. The food itself was good, though."

There's a time each year when Rome shimmers with a celebration known as "White Nights." It's an all-night festival of culture and the arts, but most importantly to us, it's a celebration of food and drink! Notti Bianche and Executive Chef Michael Cassady embrace this spirit each day serving seasonal, reasonably priced Italian trattoria fare throughout the day!

"Came before a show at the Kennedy Center. The service was prompt and the food very good. It's much better than the restaurant in the Kennedy Center."

Affectionately called the Embassy of Latin America in Washington, D.C., Mío has captured the hearts and palates of D.C.’s most influential Latin Americans and Washingtonians with a convivial table and “Cocina Abierta” (open kitchen) culture. Under the management and ownership of long time D.C. restaurateur, Manuel Iguina, and under Chef Roberto Hernandez seasoned expertise, Mío presents daily a unique menu from Latin America’s most influential cuisine capitals - a menu sophisticated in flavor yet true to its origins. In our kitchen all are welcome, the summers on the beach in the Caribbean, a Sunday parillada, the corner taquería, cevichería, lechonera and the arepera, all in one place. Just south of Thomas Circle, Mío also features modern American selections in a convivial atmosphere where customers are treated with Latin hospitality. Don't miss "Puerto Rico Fridays" - with a genuine roasted lechón and expanded Puerto Rican menu.

¡La Cocina esta Abierta!
