Pier 701 is a newly opened, riverfront restaurant with an eclectic French-American menu. We are open year round, and are proud to offer Piermont's biggest selection of seafood with the best views in town!

Not hungry? Come join us for a drink at our tiki bar outside!

"Upon entering from the parking lot there were several people in the foyer. The maitre d' asked me to wait and he would be right back. I waited 10 minutes and he never returned. I finally made my way to the bar which had about 7-10 people sitting at it - one of them was the owner/chef that I recognized from the photo in the foyer. I sat down to wait for my friend and the chef made a very loud, incredibly lewd comment to a friend of his. We were seated in at a table that they clearly had not taken the time to clean up from New Year Eve/Day (2 days earlier) - it was covered in sparkly bits and pieces. The waiter was prompt and introduced himself. While giving the specials he continued to say the this 'will be coming with' - it seemed to me that the dish would be served with, not coming with.
The caesar salad was a bit old and the lettuce had very little crunch to it. The main dish tasted fine, although not especially hot. The espresso machine was out of order - not something they can be faulted for, but it rounded up a pretty mediocre evening.
I suspect this restaurant does its best in the summer months, but they do tout themselves as a year round restaurant so I expected much more."

Café Sbisa, located in the French Market area of the Vieux Carre, was founded by the Sbisa family in 1899. It was amongst many restaurant and coffee houses in the thriving port and financial district of the old French city. Today, it remains as a symbol of the past, still serving excellent New Orleans libation, as well as, classic creole cuisine.

Patrons at Sbisa will note that Chef Pedranti’s menu pays tribute to the classic creole dishes of New Orleans while giving a modern spin to the amazing southern dishes on the Gulf Coast. “Many of the great creole dishes that are found today in New Orleans restaurants began at Sbisa,” according to Pedranti. “As such, our culinary goal is to honor our historic roots with a modern disposition.”
