"I have dined many times at Capital Grill and never disappointed - until last Sunday. The service was the usual high standard. We were celebrating a birthday and the courtesy dessert and champagne was a treat. However, the food quality was not up to expectations. The steaks which we usually order when dining there were missing that particular grilled taste of a well prepared aged meat. The medium rare plus I ordered was nearly tasteless. The onion soup, which I think is the best soup in town, was this time too cheesy, not crusty at all, and the filling too doughy. Somehow I got the feeling that Sundays are the chef's day off and the grill was manned by less experienced staff. I'll give Capital Grill the benefit of the doubt and be back again, but avoid ever returning on a Sunday evening."
