An "Osteria" is traditionally a gathering place or tavern and Osteria Cucina Toscana certainly lives up to this meaning with the casual atmosphere and consistency of food/service. Family owned for over twenty years, we bring a taste of Northern Italy to San Francisco"s Presidio Heights neighborhood.

"Osteria serves up the best eggplant parm I have ever had - thin, tender and coated with a light, flaky breading. My fellow diners enjoyed their food as well and recommend ordering with light garlic unless you really love garlic. Overall a great place for fresh pasta. I also appreciate the excellent wine recommendations."

"The best part of the place is the friendly and talented guy who plays the piano. He definitely sets the restaurant apart from others in the city. The food was good, but the preparation was a bit spotty. I applaud the waitstaff for working hard to fix the problems, but look forward to a problem free meal next time."
