MGLovesToEatOut's Reviews

Farmers Fishers Bakers is a full service upscale casual restaurant with an in-house bakery, sushi bar, full bar with 24 beer taps, and patio with water views. We support the American Family Farm along with made-from-scratch food, delicious hand crafted drinks, and green practices all around.

The restaurant is upscale casual, which welcomes business casual dress, and dress that would be appropriate in a nice restaurant; this includes jeans and athletic wear, and warm-weather clothing, including shorts.

"The Loudness was first noted when we entered. The music was loud, and everyone seemed to be talking over it. But the employees and the regulars must be accustomed to it, because everyone seemed relaxed and having a good time.
Our server was nice and knowledgeable about the menu. She was quite busy but so pleasant when she checked on us that I can't complain. Food: Pina Colada Day brought an average drink. "Drag through the Garden" was a wealth of crunch; needed more dressing but did not get the chance to ask for it before my next course arrived. Enjoyed the Lemonade Fried Whitefish with the side of fries; tarter sauce was just average. Dessert of Butternut Cake & butter pecan ice cream was excellent."

Chef Jay Caputo cooks up Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, using fresh produce from local farmers in menu offerings like Chesapeake crab-stuffed scallion crêpe served with ruby red grapefruit, cucumber, and avocado; seared breast of Giannone Farms air-chilled chicken served with roasted cauliflower, red onions, cauliflower puree, spinach, and Madeira; seared line-caught Casco Bay merlu served with oven-roasted tomatoes, Lyonnaise potatoes, and lobster-saffron essence; and blood orange mojitos. If you're not satisfied with only taking home leftovers, sign up to have Chef Jay Caputo teach a private cooking class in your own home.

"There was not much else out there at the time, and Copper Canyon Grill was a good choice for a last minute Valentine's dinner. the food was very good: the steak was properly prepared as requested, and the grilled shrimp skewers were not overdone. The salad was served quickly and it was refreshing. Our drinks were good, and the wine tasting was offered before purchase was a nice touch. I will return."
