Jaleo brings alive the spirit and flavors of Spain with a menu reflecting the rich regional diversity of classical and contemporary Spanish cuisine, under the direction of renowned chef José Andrés. Jaleo offers an impressive assortment of tapas, the traditional small dishes of Spain, as well as savory paellas, superb sangrias and a fine selection of Spanish wines and Sherries in a festive, casual atmosphere.

"Obviously NYC has thousands of options when it comes to neighborhood dining. The group (4 people) were looking for tapas and there were only a couple options in the area we were. The place was pretty empty (7:15 reservation) when we walked in. We asked to pull two table together in a specific area but were told that they needed to save those for couples. That area ended up only having two couples come in during our 1.5 hours.
The food was not bad by any stretch but it was not to the level where anyone said that was really good. Will not go back simply because there are so many other options that I have not tried. The manager came by a couple times and chatted with us which was nice."
