Mon Ami Gabi is a classic French bistro and steakhouse. The traditional menu features classics such as the warm Onion Soup Au Gratin, Frisée & Bacon Salad with a soft-poached egg and croutons, Roast Chicken grand-mère style with mushrooms, bacon and pearl onions, as well as the trademark Steak Frites. At lunch, we offer lighter fare including crepes, quiches and seasonal salads. Come in Saturday and Sunday for our weekend brunch, featuring a Build-Your-Own Bloody Mary Bar!
To complement the cuisine, an extensive selection of over 80 boutique French wine varietals are served by the glass or bottle from our signature rolling wine cart.
Please Note: Reservations are taken for indoor seating only. Outdoor seating is available on first-come, first-serve bases.

"We went for Sunday brunch to celebrate 2 birthdays and had requested a table not by the kitchen and not in front of the door/drafty area and they first at us at a table right in front of the door so not sure they read the request or not. They did offer us glasses of champagne gratis and put candles on the desserts so they did get it at some point. The restaurant was almost empty as we arrived right when they opened. We asked to be moved and were. The food was quite good but portions were larger than necessary for me. Service was good but food was slow in getting to us between courses. As it grew more crowded, the waiter was harder to find but not frustratingly so. He was quite nice and professional. Would go back."

Giovanni's Trattu may be the only restaurant in DC to capture the feel of Venice. Formerly known as Trattu, this cozy little restaurant provides the lighter cuisine of Northern Italy, which is known for its unique flavor. The extensive menu changes every fall, winter and summer. Seating 60 in the main dining room, Giovanni's Trattu is candlelight at night and it entertains guests with live music from a guitarist/singer who roams from table to table, providing the perfect sound for any occasion. Highlighting the ambiance is a collection of colorful pottery and venetian masks that hangs from the walls. While Giovanni's Trattu is ideal for private parties, guests who seek a more intimate experience may sit at one of two tables in the small out door garden.

"Nice intimate spot with excellent service. Food was good and servings were plentiful. Great neighborhood spot where you can join friends for conversation and a comfortable dinner. We arrived early evening and very quiet. Even as it filled up, still pretty quiet. Would recommend."

La Panetteria has been a Bethesda Landmark for more than 35 years. It has won accolades from food critics and many loyal customers for its superb menu and impeccable service. Cozy, old-fashioned Italian restaurant, serves both northern and southern Italian specialties, with homemade pasta, fresh seafood, veal and chicken dishes and best white pizza in the area. The restaurant invites diners in with a tree shaded street front awning, and an Old Italy atmosphere enhanced by a sunlit indoor atrium with graceful hanging baskets and period paintings on white washed stucco walls. The ceramic tile floor and white tablecloth complete the ambience of a true trattoria. The menu is extensive and features a wide variety of classic Italian dishes, plus daily specials like risottos, veal shank, seafood lasagna, rolattini and Zuppa. If you have a favorite Italian dish you will find it on the menu. La Panetteria means ‘the bakery’ in Italian and all the bread is baked fresh daily.

"This was my first visit for lunch and we decided to go there because of previous good experience. However, my choice turned out to be less than stellar: prime rib dip: the meat was overdone and dry and not much of it and most of the sandwich was bread and too much of it. Fries were good. I will still go back and hopefully this was just a bad day or a bad choice."

"After reading about fireside dining experience at DV for years, my husband and I finally went. Location and ambience perfectly wonderful set in lodge that overseas mountains with roaring fireplaces. Had table next to raclette station & I enjoyed the most.Food very good but some not warm & overcooked. Plentiful selections & service at stations very nice. Waiter very enthusiastic & nice but seemed to have too many tables or spent time at other tables being enthusiastic because we had to search him out to take care of a couple of things. Overall a wonderful experience, glad we did it and would recommend to others to enjoy it as well. Given the price, however, it will be one of those special occasion venues vs. a regular haunt."
