Established in 1986, Ristorante Piccolo is a romantic and unique Italian trattoria with walls of sun-blessed amber hues, full of the warm-hearted wines and food that match the spirit of Italy, loved by Washingtonians and visitors alike! It is a tiny gem just off the beaten path in Georgetown, offering one of the best seats in Georgetown—a second-floor balcony overlooking Georgetown and the historic C & O Canal, and is a very popular spot for rehearsal dinners and celebrations. Piccolo will happily surprise you with its excellent food, service, wine and atmosphere--with three cozy-lit fireplaces, 2 beautiful wall water features and unique ironwork throughout, adding to the warmth and romance of the restaurant. A strolling violinist sets the perfect mood for romantic dining on Friday and Saturday evenings, and can also be hired for that special party. Piccolo has recently won TASTE OF GEORGETOWN's Best Entree, & a Diner's Choice award from OpenTable for Most Romantic

"We had another great meat at Ristorante Piccolo. I won't repeat myself re: the service and ambiance which are both great. I just want to make a specific note about the gnocchi with mushroom /cream sauce that my boyfriend had (it was a special). The gnocchi was well cooked and the mushroom cream sauce was delightful. Thank you Piccolo for another great evening."

The surreal atmosphere of this awe-inspiring restaurant in the Meatpacking district of Manhattan
combines the serenity of Asia with the flamboyance of 16th century Paris. The menu features fanciful interpretations of Chinese dishes and delights even the most discriminating palates.

"I booked a table at Buddakan for my best friend's bachelorette party. The entire evening was a blast and the staff we interacted with made it their mission to ensure we had a great celebration. It took a bit for us to get seated but the restaurant sent over some appetizers to compensate so all was well. We decided to do one of the Tasting menus -- there are no words to that would do justice to how delicious our entire meal was. From edamame dumplings, to soup dumplings, to a wonderful sole dish and the divine black cod. From crispy chicken in chile sauce, to cold noodles with cashews, calamari salad and the most amazing shortribs & scallops, every bite was divine. You can't go wrong at Buddakan. + they have a sake sommelier = cool!"

Sette is Italian for seven, the traditional "lucky" number. The restaurant design is comfortable with a traditional Italian tone, and with a great "feel and flow." Sette Osteria is a destination place for people as well as a place for people walking in the area to come in and enjoy.

Decor: Sette Osteria has an open kitchen and an action station viewable by guests. Pizzas are cooked in a wood-burning pizza oven.

The best decor in a restaurant is people. Windows give guests a view of the active passing scenes on busy Connecticut Avenue and R Streets. And, people walking by are able to view a very inviting and appealing restaurant. The decor is soft and appealing but still carries a theme of sophisticated Italian culture and international buzz. Guests can view the young people going in and out of the chic clothing stores Benetton and Sisley.

"My boyfriend and I went for another meal at Sette and, as always, loved the experience. This time we sat in their outdoor patio which was lovely given the wonderful summer evening. Sette consistently provides wonderful food and service. We shared a special burrata appetizer they were offering and their mussels napoletana as apps. I followed with the veal piccata while my boyfriend had the filet mignon. Everything was delic. Sette is one of our go-to neighborhood restaurants for a casual yummy meal."

"I won't go into too many details since I've written many positive reviews of Oyamel and this last trip continues the streak. I did try their "Agua Frescas" for the first time -- described as a Mexican specialty of "fresh fruit and water". It was a perfectly crisp refreshing drink on a hot DC Sunday AM. The flavor I picked was Cherry passion -- sweet enough but not too sweet. Don't hesitate to try these lovely refreshers."

"I've reviewed El Centro D.F. Georgetown before so I will keep this short -- I met a friend here for an early dinner and we (as expected) had a lovely time. Our server recommended some items to us and I accepted the recc for the Chicken Zarape. It was so very tasty -- the creamy/cheesy rice was wonderful and a nice twist of regular rice and the sauce accompanying the chicken was well balanced and super flavorful. I told my friend how much I enjoyed the Pork Cazuela on my last visit and she chose and thoroughly enjoyed that. All in all, we had a great meal (and enjoyed the fact it was Margarita Wednesday!)"
