Chef Richard Sandoval invites you to gather, dine and raise a glass at El Centro, D.F. Authentic Mexican comfort food and fine Tequilas are served in three vibrant spaces.

"This was my first visit to El Centro's Georgetown location and I have to say I prefer it (hands down) to the original location on 14th Street. The restaurant was crowded but my dinner companions and I were able to have a conversation, the server was knowledgeable about the offerings and steered me to a most excellent entree and the margaritas were superb. I will definitely be back."

La Ruche is French for Beehive. And Café La Ruche is aptly named. You'll often find my bistro abuzz with laughter, convivial conversation, and good cheer. Of course, I make sure that's all punctuated with wonderful food, the best espresso and cappuccino in town, and our signature pastries. A bit of Paris on the Potomac. If you've not dropped by in a while, I invite you back. We'll work hard to make you a regular.

"Cafe La Ruche doesn't disappoint with its expertly prepared food, quick service and lovely ambiance. We had the Beef Bourguignon (a special) which was so very tasty -- the meat melted in your mouth. We also had the vegetable soup which was hearty without being heavy -- perfect for the winter we've been having."

"You can't hate on Sarabeth's Tribeca during brunch -- the restaurant does an excellent job of pushing out well-cooked, delicious food quickly and under the pressure of a huge crowd (always). I tried their four flowers mimosa for the first time (which was refreshing and inventive) as well as the hot chocolate (very chocolatey but without being heavy or bitter). I also had old favorites - the basket of muffins and french toast (which I won't bother raving about again but everyone should try them).
My only critique would be the english muffin served with my mom's eggs benedict -- it had been toasted and then probably sat out a bit too long before being served because it was hard and tough to cut through. An unusual mistake for the restaurant.

Chef Marc Murphy's Ditch Plains offers fresh seafood and the best of beach dining - from oyster shooters and lobster rolls to a grilled fish of the day plus celebrated specialties such as the Ditch Dog (a hot dog smothered with mac & cheese), fish tacos, spicy Bloody Marys, a selection of beers on tap and the famously well-priced wine program that Murphy is so well known for.

"I had never been to Ditch plains and although the menu appealed to me, I didn't know what to expect. I'm glad I selected this place for a catch-up meal with my friend. We shared their fried pickles as an appetizer (which were so tasty and not greasy) and I had a cheeseburger. What I appreciated most was that it was appropriately sized (i.e. not gigantic) and came with both french fries and a salad (so some french fries to indulge in but greens to get in good nutrients with your burger). Our server was also so very nice and welcoming. I will be back."

"I won't re-hash how amazing I think the food is at oyamel and what a great experience brunch or dinner or lunch is. I will, however, write a small note about something new I tried and thought was delicious this time around. For the first time, I tried the restaurant's "jugo del dia" and "Limeade of the day" -- both were tasty, refreshing, and a gloriously unexpected combination of fruits and flavors that made my taste buds happy. It's always a pleasure to try something new at a restaurant you love and have it be a hit. Well done."

701 is a modern American restaurant with exquisite food framed by an elegant decor. Join us in our bar & lounge for our signature cocktails and small plates or dine with us in our sumptuous dining room. During the spring & summer, our patio is tucked onto the Navy Memorial plaza, with splashing fountains providing a very Parisian feel.

We offer pre-theater menus if you are going to a show, light fare in the lounge, and lunch at the bar specials for those tight on time. Our lunch menu is a favorite among business clientele; dinner is perfect for a special occasion or simply a special night out.

"I hate to write this review because I am a big fan of 701 and have been several times. While the service was still fantastic and the restaurant ambience is wonderful, the food was just not as tasty as my prior visits. I'm not sure if it's because our original order was served to another table and the kitchen rushed when they were re-doing our order but the flavors of the dishes were not as seamlessly interwoven as I have come to expect. The profiterole dessert was also a bit subpar -- it was obvious that the pastry had been refrigerated (in that it arrived cold to the touch); I don't have a problem with the refrigeration but I would have expected the pastry to be warmed up to take the chill out before being served. Better luck next time"

"I brought my mother to Palena for her birthday - it was the first visit for both of us. We chose the three course + dessert option and had a fantastic meal. I could recount how each selection we had was delicious but every description would end with the same verdict -- that the food was fantastic. The service and the recommendations made by the servers were also well-received. I look forward to my next visit to Palena."

Chef/Owner Robert Wiedmaier of Marcel's opens a casual, contemporary brasserie named after his younger son. The stunning space features an open steel and glass kitchen visible from three sides, set across from a unique family-style chef's table, dramatic 22-foot ceilings and a raw bar located at the end of a grand marble and walnut bar featuring an array of Belgian beers on tap to complement his French Belgian fare. Expansive outdoor patio is open April thru October. REAL certified by the US Healthful Food Council

"I brought a pair of out of town visitors and local friends to BB for a catch-up dinner. Everybody enjoyed their meal and the atmosphere. As always, the food was fantastic. A couple of us had soup starters and the majority of us had mussels prepared in various ways. Also (as always) the bread and butter and frites were great. A couple of minor cons on this visit: 1) my onion soup tureen broke while I was eating from it (a fluke I'm sure but still an odd occurrence) and 2) I had to request additional butter three times before it was brought to the table (no doubt a result of it being a busy Friday night but BB servers are typically a bit more on the ball regarding requests). Becks is one of my fav places in town so I will, of course, return."
