FIG & OLIVE extends an olive branch to Chicago with its flagship city location, situated on Oak Street in the premier Gold Coast luxury retail shopping district. Laurent Halasz, the founder of FIG & OLIVE, envisioned an urban space embodying his origins from the South of France, and the 10,000 square foot dining destination features a variety of unique spaces that capture this essence of the French Riviera. With natural limestone and white stucco walls surrounding an open-exhibition kitchen, an expansive lounge and bar, a crostini station, and an open-air garden terrace, this location is perfect for an informal or elegant gathering.

RPM Italian presents cuisine that is modern in approach and Italian in spirit, with dishes intended to be shared. Chef partner Doug Psaltis has created a menu which features a variety of cold and hot antipasti, more than a dozen freshly prepared in-house pastas, and a selection of salads, prime steaks, chops and slow-roasted meats. The restaurant also has an open bar area where guests can order a signature cocktail created by acclaimed bartender Paul McGee, or enjoy a glass of wine from their extensive list. Sophisticated and chic, RPM Italian is perfect for a great meal or late night out.

City Winery is the second of its kind, following the New York City flagship’s model: It’s a functioning winery, a top-notch music venue, and a full-service restaurant, all housed in a massive 33,000-square-foot facility in the West Loop.

The wines are exceptional: Grapes are imported from renowned regions around the country, then crushed and aged on site. Wines are poured by the glass or bottle, with many available on tap.

The menu features Mediterranean-inspired small plates designed to complement the extensive wine list. Burrata, arancini, flatbreads, and hearty meat dishes are varied enough to please a diverse crowd over a few rounds of wine. Servers are happy to point you toward their favorite bites and paired wines, and with a concert next door almost any given night, dinner at City Winery means there’s always something fun to experience.
