Cafe D'Alsace features chef Philippe Roussel; previously at Chelsea Bar and Bistro and Montparnasse, is originally from Brittany, but he knows something about Alsace serving features such as his tarte flambée (onions and bacon), potée (cabbage soup) and choucroute made with pork or seafood. Also try something off our extravagant beer menu.

"The duck was superb. cooked to perfection. Had a class of Bordeaux perfect desert and salad also fine. carrots were overcooked, beans so so and the multi grain bread which I usually love was stale."

"in contrast to previous visits service was outstanding. The waiter was a young man wanting to serve. Also a woman employee who walked around came over to check when I was not smiling.
food was great except for sea food soup had too little seafood they skimp on seafood as they do on many seafood dished e.g. salads. In contrast the duck salad is loaded with duck

"sat down waited 10 minutes for waiter then another 5 for water and tea. My food was superb Philadelphia roll & duck salad. perfect. wife ordered a sea food salad. she had trouble finding the sea food (in contrast to my duck salad with lots of duck). we paid and she then complained to manager. He invited her back for a free "dish" equivalent in cost to the salad she ordered.
left my credit card called in they did not have it called again they had it. beward
