Ichiro offers the finest and freshest Japanese cuisine and sushi available on the UES. The dining room offers an elegant yet comfortable space with impeccable customer service. Ichiro is just an overall great neighborhood spot.

"I have been to Ristorante Morini many times, and find it to be consistently excellent in every regard. From the moment one arrives and is greeted by charming and gracious hosts/hostesses, to the outstanding menu and wine list, friendly and accommodating wait staff, and food that is always a joy to behold and savor. In our kitchen, we reach for ingredients like hoja santa leaf and Mexican chorizo both because they inspire us and, quite simply, because they are good. Born out of a heartfelt fascination with this country and its regional cuisines, Empellón Cocina strives not to imitate or replicate, but rather to draw upon with an appropriate amount of respect, humility, and awe.<br /><br />Like so many chefs that have tinkered, tweaked, and challenged their chosen cooking discipline in New York City, we embrace that spirit of freedom as we think through and toil over dishes that interest and excite us. Top Chef contestant Leah Cohen's Pig and Khao (68 Clinton Street) on the Lower East Side. The Southeast Asian inspired cuisine offers a variety of Thai and Filipino influences on the menu including Crispy Pata and pickled mango salad (pork shank cooked in soy sauce and five spice garnished with coriander, crispy garlic served with a secret family recipe sweet and sour liver dipping sauce), Grilled Pork Jowl and Brussels Sprouts Salad (chili lime fish sauce, shallot, herbs and toasted rice) and Crispy Pork Belly Adobo (Szechuan peppercorn, coconut vinegar, soy sauce, bay leaves, crispy garlic, scallion and soft boil quail egg). Drinks will range from cheap canned beer to large format beer served Hong Kong style (drink out of small bowls), wine cocktails and a self-serve bottomless tap in the backyard

Sfoglia is a lovely little trattoria residing on an unassuming stretch of the Upper East Side, across the street from the 92nd Street Y. Farmhouse tables topped with the season's produce are the appropriate setting for Sfoglia's country Italian fare. The private dining room tucked away upstairs can seat an intimate party of twelve.
