Sparks Steak House was opened in 1966 by Michael and Pasquale Cetta, hence the logo 'Cetta Brothers Steak Masters'. The restaurant is still a family owned and operated business and is located in midtown Manhattan, a five minute walk from Grand Central Station and The United Nations. <br><br> The restaurant is well known for excellent steaks, seafood, fresh vegetables and satisfying salads. And of course, the huge wine list.

"Oh Sparks - the one place that always was consistent, great, delicious. I always found their steaks to be perfect; better than Luger and Keens. But alas, since november and ongoing, some labor disputed have put this place in disarray. The staff is completely clueless now (literally lacking basic understanding of drinks and foods). The kitchen is uncoordinated and orders are mixed up. the rare steak came out medium and no-one even checked.
In the old days, they would have ripped the thing from the table (rarely that it happened).
Sparks is a mess. I so hope they can recover and become their old great; one of the best steakhouses in the country. Until then, stay away and don't get heckled by the rude 'picket line' outside..
