Located on the waterfront in historic Jack London Square, lies Kincaid's Bayhouse. Truly, today's interpretation of a traditional Fish, Chop and Steakhouse. One will find the food and beverage to be the finest available and where possible, prepared and served in the tradition of an old-time Fish and Steakhouse. Fresh fish flown in daily, prime select cuts of beef, along with signature dessert items are just a few reasons that set Kincaid's apart from other restaurants.

"mashed potatoes with the pork chops and short rib were a little tired looking. Short rib needed seasoning. Prime Rib was good, but no nice crust as advertised."

Since 1988 Gar Woods Grill & Pier has been the premier North Lake Tahoe waterfront dining destination. Located in Carnelian Bay, our floor to ceiling windows, large deck and balconies provide breath-taking views of Lake Tahoe and the Sierras. Gar Woods Grill & Pier is an upscale casual restaurant that accommodates groups of 160 just as easily as groups of 2. Our Chef has created a menu highlighting California cuisine, hand cut steaks and fresh Pacific seafood, served in our fun in the sun atmosphere. The wine list is a collection of California's best-known vintners featuring more than a dozen wines by the glass. Enjoy Tahoe's warm summer days sitting on our waterfront deck while sipping on a world famous Wet Woody. With nearly two million sold you'll be in good company but come early to get a seat. When visiting during the ski season thaw out in front of our three story tall river rock fireplace with a Warm Woody or a Heavenly bottom. Lake Tahoe sunsets are our specialty.

"we made reservations for mothers day and when we showed up we were disappointed that they were not serving off the menu. Rather, they had a brunch that was stationed all around the restaurant.. This was quite disaster and at $45 a person - was highly highly overpriced. You had to cross in front of the check in stand and fight all the people that were coming into the restaurant to get your food. The food was very mediocre. But, there was no choice as it was mothers day and where could we find another place to eat. Our waitress Hillary was heavenly though. She was very apologetic and very helpful. My 91 year old mother in law could not negotiate the crowd and the excessive walking between stations. very disappointing."

"My salmon was fabulous. My husband's calamari steak over linguini was good but only because of the pecan crust. The actual calamari was not seasoned. And the linguini was lacking flavor. The fried asparagus appetizer was good but I prefer a tempura batter. The calamari appetizer was quite good but you have to like strongly brined black olives which I do! Our friends ordered the meatloaf and the steak salad. The meatloaf came out as a round meatball. The steak salad looked great! Service was spotty. It was a long time before the waiter took our order. He came to the table and poured water and before we could tell him we were ready he dashed off. Never making eye contact. We will go back but service needs to improve."

"The rib eye and the short ribs were as great as ever. Service had much improved since opening. But. We had to ask for sweetener for iced tea three tines. And you have to ask for bread. This is a wonderful addition to Stockton. We want this place to succeed!!!"
