Affectionately called the Embassy of Latin America in Washington, D.C., Mío has captured the hearts and palates of D.C.’s most influential Latin Americans and Washingtonians with a convivial table and “Cocina Abierta” (open kitchen) culture. Under the management and ownership of long time D.C. restaurateur, Manuel Iguina, and under Chef Giovanna Huyke's seasoned expertise, Mío presents daily a unique menu from Latin America’s most influential cuisine capitals - a menu sophisticated in flavor yet true to its origins. In our kitchen all are welcome, the summers on the beach in the Caribbean, a Sunday parillada, the corner taquería, cevichería, lechonera and the arepera, all in one place. Just south of Thomas Circle, Mío also features modern American selections in a convivial atmosphere where customers are treated with Latin hospitality. Don't miss "Puerto Rico Fridays" - with a genuine roasted lechón and expanded Puerto Rican menu.

¡La Cocina esta Abierta!

"Our server and the daughter of the owner Manuel (so I found later), Daniela, was very good. All the appetizers that she suggested were loved by my group. We could feel passion from her when she was explaining us the menu and giving us suggestions. That is important.
Thank you Daniela for your great hospitality!

In April 1999, Restaurant Nora became America's first certified organic restaurant. This means that 95% or more of everything that you eat at the restaurant has been produced by certified organic growers and farmers all who share in Nora's commitment to sustainable agriculture. Nora always offers seasonal, fresh organic food, prepared in a healthy, balanced way and enjoys a "big following" of environmentalists and politicians, who can eat here with a clear conscience, knowing that what's on their plate hasn't polluted the environment, is healthy for them, and tastes good too. Nora offers a special chef's tasting menu, which is perfectly accompanied by a spectacular choice of wines from our award winning wine list, featuring over 100 exceptional wines from small wine producers.
"Every appetizer and entree we tried were very delicately cooked and tasted so good.
Particularly, the basil pesto fettucine and the rabbit risotto were my favorite.

Sushi Taro is a first Japanese restaurant to feature a full course meal “KAISEKI” & Sushi Tasting course. We offer exceptionally high quality and an authentic variety of “Nigiri” style sushi. Our style is “Genuine Japanese Cuisine” and we do not serve fusion-confusion and Americanized Japanese foods. ***** We have ranked #36 in entire restaurant in U.S. on Forbs Magazine, 2012. ***** For more information about Sushi Taro and “KAISEKI”, please visit our website. Also follow us on Facebook and/or Twitter for daily A la Carte menu and news updates.
