Located in Chicago’s exciting theatre district, in the city’s “Loop” area, Petterino’s offers prime steaks, fresh seafood and classic specialties. Featuring a 1940’s style look, with original drawings of actors who have performed in Chicago, Petterino’s celebrates the Golden Age of Glamour and the Theatre while offering delicious cuisine with a full menu of favorites from tomato bisque soup to a shrimp de jonghe to fettuccine alberto.

Pre-theatre and after work specials are available daily. Petterino's location is ideal for business lunches as well as a break from shopping or touring in the nearby State Street and Millennium Park venues. Pre-theatre diners have the option of leaving their car with Petterino's while they attend the show and can then pick it up after the performance is completed.

"Petterino's has a very comfortable, supper club ambiance. It's in the heart of the downtown theater district, so it has celebrity sketches on the walls. It's great for before the theater. They make good cocktails. On this particular occasion I was disappointed in the Steak Diane (I've enjoyed it in the past). The meat was dry and arrived medium, not medium rare as ordered. I still considerate it a loop gem."

TRENCHERMEN
[def: 1."a person who enjoys food; hearty eater and drinker]
A partnership between award-winning chefs and brothers, Patrick Sheerin and Michael Sheerin with local restaurateur Matt Eisler and designer Kevin Heisner, Trenchermen is located in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood. Creatively retooling the ubiquitous chef-driven concept by serving thought-provoking food in a fun, boisterous environment, the restaurant integrates the best of both casual and fine dining experiences. Inspired by the sense of community created by early 20th century beer halls, Trenchermen adopts a Midwestern farm-focused approach to craft its progressive new American cuisine, presenting familiar flavors in an unexpected manner. Located at 2039 W. North Ave, the 86-seat main dining room and 52-seat bar area are open for dinner Monday through Sunday as well as brunch on Sunday.

"I was taken to this restaurant for my birthday. It was a Saturday night and very busy. The dining room has no acoustical buffering and the noise level was deafening. Everyone had to shout to be heard by table mates. Maybe it's my age, but I don't get the appeal of noisy restaurants. I thought that trend was over.
However, the limited menu was enticing and the dishes we ordered were carefully prepared and delicious. Our excellent server was amazingly knowledgeable about the menu and guided through our meal expertly. Entire staff was friendly and customer-focused.
Would I go back? Maybe on another night of the week."
