Jeanne D'Arc is an elegant yet reasonably priced French restaurant located near Nob Hill and Union Square in the Cornell Hotel de France. Replete with tapestries, stained glass and artifacts, the decor celebrates the life and deeds of France's legendary heroine, Joan of Arc.

Founded by the Lambert family in 1972, the restaurant is a favorite of locals and visitors. Jeanne D'Arc offers a prix fixe menu and a cellar of well chosen California and Frence wines. The restaurant is perfect for before-curtain supper, a gathering of good friends, or romance with conversation.

"We met friends from the East Bay there for dinner on our recommendation, since it is one of our favorite places in the city. They loved it as much as we do. Everyone's food was outstanding and the service was perfect. We weren't rushed and had a lovely night in the city. Plus, their wine list is so reasonably priced it is not worth bringing your own. We had the Bandol and it was perfect to accompany everyone's entree."

Welcome to Garcon! Garcon encapsulates an old-world French bistro with a casual and friendly atmosphere like one would find in France. Chef Arthur Wall delivers a stylish interpretation of French classics like coq au vin, mussels, duck confit and French onion soup. A New Orleans native, classically trained at the Winsdor Court Hotel, Chef Wall has always loved French cooking but with the resources and setting of the west coast. He sources the freshest ingredients, cooking in the seasons and changing the menu daily. Garcon offers a diverse selection of local and old world wines, local oysters and cheeses as well as daily prix fixe and holiday tasting menus. Access to private lounge offset from main dining allows people to engage in intimate conversation and parties as well.

Garcon also offers a 3 course Chef's menu all week.
BON APPETIT!

"We live on the Peninsula and our friends live in the East Bay and we have started going to the city for dinner monthly to meet up and spend time together. I found Garcon as part of the SF Restaurant Week promotion, so we decided to go there as they had a table on the date/time we were all available. The wait for our table reservation was 35 minutes past our reserved time, which worked out fine, since our friends couldn't find parking. But, they sat us at the 4 top right at the service station - bad spot. We asked if we could be moved and they were more than accommodating in seating us at a better table in the back room. It was so much more conducive to conversation. We had the pre fixe menu and everything was wonderful. The serving staff were just delightful and freindly. They made us first timers feel like we had been going there every week for years. I would definitely recommend going there - as long as you can find parking."

Kincaid's translates the traditional fish, chop and steak house into contemporary terms. In a casually elegant atmosphere, the restaurant offers outstanding cuisine and impressive bay views. You'll find new classics, consistent excellence and a splash of swagger!

"I really detest restaurants who feel that a table of women should receive less service than a table of men. We were seated at the back corner table close to the service area when there were better tables available. I realize that our party was cut from 6 to 4, but I highly suspect our 6 top was the one right next to the service area. And, 5 minutes after receiving our salads, they were bringing out our entrees. Of course, they took them back, probably placed them under the heat lamp, because the food was lukewarm. We tip at 20% just like men - maybe even better. And, the mashed potatoes were oversalted and tasted like instant potatoes. There are definitely better restaurants to spend $90 per person. I don't plan to go back."

"Thanks, Central Park for a lovely birthday evening. The food was fabulous and your wait staff could not have been more attentive - from the bartender to all the servers. I appreciate you accommodating me on where we sat. We don't go out to dinner that often, but when we go to Central Park, we are never disappointed!"
