LateNightDiner's Reviews

Patrick's Restaurant and Bakery features the best of French and American cuisine. Located in the Shoppes at Arbor Lakes, the restaurant offers a warm and inviting atmosphere with a selection of the finest pastries available in the Twin Cities. The menu offers Coq au vin, Beef Bourguignon, Steak Frites and Escargot. But classics alone do not make up Patrick's menu. Grilled Salmon, Sea Bass and other coastal selections are available to tantalize your taste buds. Start and finish your dining experience with a tarte flambé, as an appetizer or dessert. A taste of Alsace awaits you. Prefer something a little lighter? Try one of our many creative salads. Patrick's famous Patou burger is a fabulous choice, just one taste of the Patou burger and you are instantly taken away to Paris. Patrick's also offers a wonderful selection of French and California wines, creative cocktails and rich coffees. Breakfast, lunch and dinner at Patrick's is an experience that always leaves you wanting more.

"Fun little find. We enjoyed a tarte flambee and the best mushroom soup I've ever had! The "pizza" was not as thin-crusted as we've had in the Alsace, but it was very authentic tasting, if a little greasy. The soup was outstanding. It was surprisingly busy for a Tuesday evening - we dined at 8:15 PM, but the noise level was low and the atmosphere seemed very private. We'll be back! There are so many interesting menu offerings."

"Patrick's is a little gem. It was fun to see some bistro favorites close to home. I'd love it if they added croquet monsieur at some point. We both enjoyed a deliciously rich mushroom soup and steak salad. I think I could have eaten the entire pot of soup! Rich and creamy, with a touch of brandy flavor, the soup was great with an authentic baguette! The steak was perfectly done and very tender. The wine list features French and California wines. Can't wait to go back and try something else. The pastries were very tempting!"

"It's no wonder James Beard recognized Butcher and the Boar! Creative use and combinations of ingredients. Flavors that stole the show, plate after plate. We'll go back!"

"We dined on a Saturday night. The place was packed, but we felt like we were the only ones there. Our server was super attentive and made some spot on recommendations. This was our first experience at Chino Latino and we will certainly go back! The food was carefully prepared (mussels, bulgogi and lamb tagine) and super tasty. A very fun, very energetic Uptown hot spot!"

"Evening dining from the balcony of Basil's restaurant puts the IDS court in a totally new light. It was a very romantic, very quiet experience. The meal as very good, with attention to detail paid on all dishes. We ordered the salmon and the steak from the special menu provided. Both were delicious. We were enjoying a Living Social deal and were impressed by the house wines that were included. A very nice evening."

Welcome to Eat Shop.
Guess what? We are not a sports bar. We are also not a chain. Furthermore, we know our name is a little quirky and unexpected, but so are we. And it kinda grew on us.
Who are we? We are local. We are from the area and noticed how hard it was to get a decent glass of wine. We thought it might be nice to have a place where people could pop in and enjoy some swordfish tacos and a pint of local beer after a movie or grab the neighbors and sink into a big round booth with plates of pasta, and duck salad, maybe a steak or burger, if that is what you're feeling.
We want to be your watering hole, your meet-up, your hang out. We can't promise to be everything to everyone, we won't have trivia nights and probably won't fire up the old popcorn machine, but we will do our best to serve you fresh and modern American food and drinks that give you something to look forward to. We hope we kinda grow on you, too.

"We were looking for a lower key NYE dining spot and this was the perfect choice. The Eat Shop staff brought hourly glasses of bubbly around to toast the New Year as it rolled across the globe. Fun touch. The food was great - we enjoyed the Cuban Burger, Salmon, Hanger Steak and the Salmon Special (deep fried!). This is such a great neighborhood location. Staff is super friendly and we've always enjoyed our meals here."
