Located on West Street in historic downtown Annapolis, Crush Kitchen & Winehouse offers an eclectic American menu served in a unique and casual atmosphere. High ceilings, exposed brick and a spiral staircase to nowhere are remnants of the buildings’ 80 years as a fire and rescue station, adding a sense of the unexpected to every meal. Chef Mike Morrone's culinary creations combine unconventional ingredients with traditional comfort foods - alligator sausage served with green chile coleslaw and shepard's pie made with bison and red wine. Finish your meal with a house-made dessert, updated seasonally and ranging from decadent chocolate cake to a summer fruit crisp. Whether you drop in on a Tuesday night or make us part of a special occasion, every visit to Crush Kitchen and Winehouse will be warm and welcoming, but always unique.

"Place was not at all crowded yet service was awful. Server did not know the specials, or wines or drinks. Drinks took forever as the bartender talked with other workers. Food arrived, but the entrees and appetizers at the same time and two of the entrees were wrong. We told him the orders were wrong and the appetizers should have been out much earlier. The server asked why? Actually looked perplexed or maybe just a bit stoned. Oh well maybe the food was going to be great? Barley mediocre. When I asked for the check he said "do you want your check now?""

Affectionately called the Embassy of Latin America in Washington, D.C., Mío has captured the hearts and palates of D.C.’s most influential Latin Americans and Washingtonians with a convivial table and “Cocina Abierta” (open kitchen) culture. Under the management and ownership of long time D.C. restaurateur, Manuel Iguina, and under Chef Roberto Hernandez seasoned expertise, Mío presents daily a unique menu from Latin America’s most influential cuisine capitals - a menu sophisticated in flavor yet true to its origins. In our kitchen all are welcome, the summers on the beach in the Caribbean, a Sunday parillada, the corner taquería, cevichería, lechonera and the arepera, all in one place. Just south of Thomas Circle, Mío also features modern American selections in a convivial atmosphere where customers are treated with Latin hospitality. Don't miss "Puerto Rico Fridays" - with a genuine roasted lechón and expanded Puerto Rican menu.

¡La Cocina esta Abierta!

"This in in the Marriott. Not bad in and of itself but nothing in this spot is very good or even fair. First up the waiter is pleasant enough but does not know what the happy hour specials are so he goes and checks on it. OK No big deal. Specials are not very special but ... We get to order the food and ask if the fires are fresh. He laughs and says nothing. I repeat and he says no they are from a bag. I ask if the chips are fresh and he says "Everything is from a bag!" Bad enough but the food sits under a heat lamp and just sits there. We ask him if that is our and says "I'll check". It is and we send it back as the fries and burger etc. are barley warm. The burger is from some frozen waste land and the rest is no better. Don't go."

Boss Shepherd’s is Penn Quarter’s hottest farm-to-table restaurant, where guests can enjoy a fresh approach to traditional American cuisine. Named after DC’s original governor, who was often referred to as the Father of Modern Washington, Boss Shepherd was one of the most powerful city bosses in his day and was responsible for creating DC’s infrastructure, ultimately convincing Congress to continue to operate in the District of Columbia. A statue of Boss Shepherd reigns half a block away, in front of the John A. Wilson Building.

Instilled with Chef Jeremy Waybright’s southern inspiration, the menu boasts fresh takes on time-honored, rustic classics that can please the palate of any guest. Chef Waybright’s use of farm-to-table ingredients is evident in innovative starters such as the Maine blue mussels with sausage, cider beer, vermouth and pickled chili, or delectable bone marrow served with herbs, pickled egg, breakfast radish and toast.

BRIO (meaning "lively" or "full of life") is a "polished casual" restaurant serving authentic, northern Italian cuisine. The subtitle, "Tuscan Grille" is descriptive for a menu that features oven-roasted steaks, chops, and seafood; similar to what one would find in an authentic ristorante in Tuscany. BRIO's philosophy of "to eat well, is to live well" is why they only use the finest and freshest ingredients. BRIO brings the pleasure of a Tuscan country villa to the American city.
