Located in one of the most food-centric cities in the U.S., Hakkasan San Francisco has become a culinary destination for locals and tourists alike. Accessible yet sophisticated, Hakkasan has redefined the modern Chinese fine-dining experience. “Modern authenticity” is at the heart of everything from the design of its chic, sensuous interior to the execution of its Michelin-starred modern Cantonese menu, to an expansive wine and cocktail program, carefully curated by the talented Hakkasan mixologists.
"I was a bit skeptical about Hakkasan due to the typical restaurants such as The Slanted Door and Osha, where they use heavy ingredients and sauces that add as much as 2,500 calories per dish, but I was surprised to see that the dishes were very well done. We ordered Spicy prawn and Crispy silver cod with superior soy sauce, and they were tasty. I would come back and taste other dishes, and perhaps stop by in the evening to sample some of their cocktails. The bar looks very vibrant."

The Cavalier is an all-day London-inspired brasserie, located in the new Hotel Zetta.

This is the third property for restaurateurs Anna Weinberg, James Nicholas & Chef Jennifer Puccio; the team behind Marlowe and Park Tavern. The team has collaborated with award winning San Francisco designer Ken Fulk, who has revamped the interior in deep leather banquettes, polished brass, zinc and white marble, giving it a posh and sultry feel.

Mistral’s California cuisine is very Mediterranean-influenced, and focuses on serving the best local ingredients available. Chef Tim Fabatz serves up an immensely popular daily fresh fish special and has excellent seafood and shellfish offerings on the seasonally current regular menu. Mistral is committed to being responsible to the environment and to the people around us; therefore our seafood is from sustainable sources, our beef is hormone-free Certified Angus, naturally-raised pork, lamb and chicken are of the best quality available, organic produce is used wherever possible, and no trans fats are used in any recipe preparations. Mistral is a destination restaurant for anniversaries & birthdays, and has an off-the-beaten-path ambiance with year-‘round patio dining and water views, an outdoor fireplace, and plenty of outside heaters. Two private rooms and the covered patio are available for private dining, business dinners, banquets, cocktail parties, weddings, and special events.

"I have not been back to Mistral for over a year or so. I was quite impressed with their attentive service. Both my clients and I ordered pan-seared scallops, and they were very good (probably can use a little less dressing. It overwhelmed the scallops). Overall, we enjoyed the ambiance and excellent service. The only think I would recommend is to tone down the menu prints. It is definitely too busy, and makes you feel like you are looking at Chevy's."

"We ordered and shared Cha Gio Tom Cua, Banh Xeo, Goi Ca Thu, Ca Ri Tom and Ca Hap La Chuoi dishes. The food was outstanding, very authentic and flavorful. I was especially impressed with service and how attentive the waitress was. She was very helpful in helping us selecting some of these authentic Vietnamese dishes. The also had a nice music band playing upstairs by the bar. It was a joy to hear some swing musics with great dancers. I will definitely come back and try different dishes."

"Buon Gusto has a small family feel to it. I ordered home made ravioli with meat sauce, and it was delicious. I am glad I discover this neighborhood gem."

"Le Garage is a little gem, next to Sausalito beach. The food has gotten so much better, more fresh and organic - almost farm to table, especially on vegetables. We ordered Surf & Turf - Beef Tenderloin and Fresh Maine Lobster Tail and Fresh Fettuccini, Massachusetts Dayboat Scallops. They were delicious. We ordered 2011 Chateau de la Gardine Red and it was gorgeous. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience, and would definitely come back again soon."

Originally founded in 1893, Schroeder’s longstanding history has made the Bavarian inspired beer hall a favorite of San Francisco for the past 120 years. With a new page beginning in Schroeder’s history, the restaurant is reinventing the way San Francisco views German Fare. Chef Manfred Wrembel’s passion for the cuisine of his ancestry and love of California’s seasonal styling is embodied in the dishes he creates. The restaurant’s décor pays homage to its Bavarian Heritage with Herman Richter murals, Historical Wall of Steins, and the original millwork throughout. A rosewood bar stretching the length of the beer hall with 22 German beers on tap is sure to captivate the thirsty. Prost!

"We were skeptical about the renovation and change of the old Schroeder's vibe but we were wrong. The Decor was tastefully done with separation of four separate rooms. We had 3/4 different German beers and several dishes including Pretzel Knot and Pork Rinds; Potato Pancakes and Fried Brussel Sprouts; Liberty Duck Breast treviso, spelt, cherries, chocolate and Wiener Schnitzel veal, smoked onion, green beans, almonds, preserved lemon. Everything was gorgeous and tasty. Pork Rinds was fresh and tasty. The first dessert on the menu was perfectly paired with drunken cherries and kernel popcorn and chocolate - yummy. We can't wait to come back and try other dishes, and maybe some of their exotic cocktails. Suri provided superb service."

"One of the things that I liked about Merriman's is their vegetables and grass fed meat. Everything is grown in the garden. It is tasty and sweet. The lobster special was excellent, and the chocolate purse was to die for. It was a wonderful to celebrate two anniversaries with two close friends. We do recommend that chef makes and keeps fresh horseradish at all time, in case some of us would like to have it with our meat."
