"I have been to One Market Restaurant for lunch a few times with my clients, but yesterday was different. I think it was the service that Jo'phine provided. She was extremely busy during lunch but managed to be very aware of little nuances. She was servicing the table next to us but saw that my knife was soaked in cream salad dressing, and immediately replaced my knife for a new one. She was also not overwhelming us with constant concerns but kept at distance. Her attentiveness and knowledgeable about the menu were excellent. My Dungeness Crab Minestrone and Wild Gulf Shrimp “Louis” were delicious. My client also liked her home made Potato Gnocchi. I would definitely come back for dinner sometime soon."

"I must say I have been to hundreds of restaurants across the globe and have never given a 5-star rating but Virtu is special and worth a 5-star restaurant for their food and service. Their mixtologist, Bobby, prepared wonderful cocktails for our friends and a tasty Moscow Mules in the copper mug for me. We started with grilled octopus and truffled steak tartare. We also ordered the following dishes for main course, and they was perfect: prosciutto wrapped pork rib chop, pan seared scallops, smoked duck breast and grilled flat iron. We paired the food with two bottles of wines Baberra from Italy and Malbec- delicious. Our waitress was attentive. We loved everything about this quaint restaurant, and would definitely come back again."

From the Emeryville fireman's dream of a Speakeasy that he built in 1926, to Steve Vernetti, the original Townhouse Speakeasy bartender who along with his family ran it for 35 plus years after Prohibition ended, the TH has been and remains an East Bay institution. Next came the 70's and 80's when country and western bars, music and dancing were at their peak and the theme at the TH. This period is fondly remembered by Cal graduates who continue to visit the Townhouse and reminisce about their dancing days but do not miss the peanut shells and sawdust on the floor. 1990 was the year that Ellen Hope Rosenberg, the current executive chef and owner, took over an ailing TH and resurrected it from top to bottom. From her inspired American-California style menu to the maintenance of the original construction both in and out. This is a restaurant that has a unique story whose food and ambiance is as authentic as the staff are courteous and genuine.

This beautiful original Art Deco building began as the Lincoln Grill in 1928. Since 1981, it has been The Elite Cafe. Since its inception, The Elite has served exquisite food with the flavors of New Orleans. Our current menu continues this tradition but with an emphasis on seasonality, the freshest local ingredients, and a lighter touch in our preparation. From the original mahogany booths to the beautiful full bar to the unsurpassed people watching on the Upper Fillmore, The Elite Cafe has something for everyone. We now offer HEATED-OUTDOOR Dining. Enjoy Brunch, Dinner, or a glass of wine while experiencing one of San Francisco's most exciting Shopping & People-Watching streets.

Named after Henry Comstock and the famed Comstock Lode, which brought mining fortunes to the City by the Bay, Comstock Saloon occupies a historic space that has served as a watering hole for San Franciscans since 1907. <br> Renowned bartenders Jeff Hollinger and Jonny Raglin of Absinthe Brasserie & Bar, partnering with Bill Russell-Shapiro and the Absinthe team, continue this tradition, offering patrons refined turn-of-the-century saloon fare, and assortment of snacks, and a menu of classic cocktails, such as Negroni and the Manhattan, in a setting that preserves the saloon's historic design elements and pays tribute to San Francisco's Barbary Coast. Chef Carlo Espinas, former chef of Piccino Cafe, oversees the menu.
