Tom Colicchio’s Craft was awarded three stars by the New York Times and won the prestigious James Beard Award for Best New Restaurant. In 2010, Tom Colicchio won the James Beard Award for Best Chef. Craft is recognized for its commitment to the use of the finest seasonal ingredients sourced from family farms, dayboat fishermen and specialized ranchers. We prepare these pristine ingredients simply in order to showcase the essence of each ingredient. At Craft, Chef de Cuisine Ed Crochet, Pastry Chef Abby Swain and the hospitable staff ask diners to build their own a la carte menu or choose from the seasonal seven-course tasting menu.

"Great to sit in outdoor seating for the lively neighborhood people-watching. The food was average, the service and drinks both very good."

The menu draws its inspiration from the classic seafood dishes found throughout France, and features fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced from local waters and nearby farms. Dishes are prepared with straightforward French cooking techniques and bold flavors in a surrounding that is reminiscent of the great cafes of Paris. Red banquets, a marble raw bar and an open kitchen provide an unpretentious but sophisticated experience.

"We were pleasantly surprised just how good the food was -- everything my husband and I had was delicious as well as nicely presented. The service started out strong but then our server kind of disappeared the last 1/3 of our meal. (The restaurant was almost empty so this was particularly odd unless the server was working the party in the bar 1 level below the restaurant). We were given dessert menus and were ready to order desserts and tea, but by the time the server returned to us some 15 minutes later we had decided we were too full and skipped it."

Chef Marc Murphy and his wife, Pamela Schein Murphy, bring their downtown neighborhood bistro uptown to the Time Warner Center. Landmarc offers contemporary bistro dishes as well as a famously well-priced wine list.
