A modern tavern with Mediterranean roots, TESSA blends southern French and Italian cuisine from Executive Chef Cedric Tovar in a setting designed by critically acclaimed Paul Masi of Bates Masi Architects.
"Our server, Emily, was fantastic. I have a food allergy (onions) and they allowed me to substitute the side which sounds pretty common but is actually not common at all. Many places do not allow substitutions because it "compromises" the dish. Not here! And everything was absolutely delicious. Everything! Emily checked back often but not so much it was annoying. Our water glasses were attended to and other beverages as well. The atmosphere is great for friends getting together or for a romantic interlude. Unlike many NYC restaurants who cram way too much into way too small a space, this was comfortable & quaint. AND AFFORDABLE! 3 appetizers, 2 entrees, shared dessert & drinks for $120. I will definitely be back!"
