"Had expectations of a wonderful dinner given all the "buzz" but our experience fell short from the moment we walked in. Hostess seated us and didn't offer to take our coats, which normally wouldn't be a problem but dining room space is cramped and not enough room to comfortably move between tables. We ordered the house made Italian sausage (good but overcooked; accompanying lentils were actually the highlight), and our entrees were off the mark as well. The veal porterhouse arrived on what appeared to be some sort of cabbage sauce (note: server could have suggested an accompanying side dish or two) and the scallops were closer to charred than pan-seared and arrived on a bed of risotto with fennel sauce and cilantro... an "interesting" combination that could benefit from a more simple preparation. The service lacked timing and polish (would help to be more familiar with menu); a notable exception was the busboy who was efficient and pleasant. The evening ended with retrieving our car from the valet ($6)...he told us he only had $5 change for a $20 bill. Sorry to say...we wanted to like it but probably won't return."
