Thomas Keller’s ad hoc, which literally means "for this purpose," was originally intended to be a temporary restaurant, open during the development of a very different concept. But, due to its loyal following, it was decided that it must be a permanent fixture in Yountville. ad hoc serves a prix fixe, 4-course chalkboard menu, changing daily. Food is served family style and reminiscent of the comfort food with which Chef Keller grew up.

"And we weren't sure about the "one menu" idea, but there's a reason Thomas Keller is the man. The food was amazing, and the pork loin was so tender and full of flavor! Why can't I get my pork to taste like that?! Great meal, with every course thought out perfectly, and a perfect complement to the one before. We went for it and added the extra dish of Skate, which neither of us had ever tried before. Excellent!"

Chef Michael Chiarello has returned to his culinary roots by creating seasonal farm-to-table Italian cuisine reflecting the bold flavors of Chiarello’s heritage in his signature style 1st made famous at Tra Vigne in the 90’s. An award winning chef/vintner & Food Network host, Chiarello celebrates his Italian roots and the Napa Valley with a menu echoing his long practice of using the finest locally/sustainably produced food. Located in Yountville, in the heart of the Napa Valley, Bottega’s extensive wine list represents hard-to-find favorites of the Valley and interesting Italian selections. Chiarello restored the integrity of an old 1800’s estate by uncovering beautiful hard wood floors, timber beams, old brick walls and windows. The inviting dining room is accented with reclaimed antiques, warm fabrics and eclectic light fixtures lending to the restaurant’s old world comfort.

"Bottega never fails to surprise and delight us. This trip we went with another couple, and had the fantastically unique experience of "Murph" as our waiter. We let him run with ordering what he felt would be best, and he outdid himself. Even accommodating one of our party who is gluten intolerant...hard to do with all that pasta!
The meal, the wine, the service and the company were all spectacular - as expected!"

Herringbone serves innovative ocean-to-table cuisine and uniquely crafted cocktails from chefs Brian Malarkey and Anthony Sinsay. The vibrant interior brings back the dazzling personality of old Hollywood mixed with fanciful details and surprising contemporary elements. Relax as good conversation, eclectic music, and savory scents fill the restaurant, creating the perfect social dining experience.

In addition to serving lunch, brunch, dinner and happy hour, Herringbone’s kitchen will be providing 24-hour room service to guests of Mondrian Los Angeles, catering, food and beverage service for the hotel lobby, and food service for the Skybar and Pool.

"Nice replacement for the old Asia de Cuba spot, so there is great outdoor dining. The food is quite good, but (as expected, I suppose) the restaurant is a complete scene. If you aren't one of the thin and beautiful, or really like people watching that type, maybe try during the week or lunch. Our waiter had two big tables aside from ours (of 3 people), so the service was a bit slow although he was very nice and rushed our dinner orders in to beat the big tables' input. Very hard to converse with your tablemates, as the noise level is quite loud.
Again, food was quite good, so I think we'll try a "slower" night."

"RivaBella tops itself (almost!) again. Went for a nice, romantic Christmas Eve dinner and were not disappointed! The restaurant was a bit quiet due to the holiday, but the staff were all in great spirits, stopped to say hello, asked if we needed anything...
Had, for the first time, both the Spinach Tagliatelle with Lamb Ragu and the Veal done Parmigiana style. Just incredible. Both of them. The veal was to die for, and my Italian SO said it was the best he'd ever had. The only disappointing part to the evening is when we forgot our leftovers in the taxi! :(
We will continue to visit RivaBella as often as we can."
