HeatherWilde's Reviews

Born from an impractical idea that sports and great food can exist under one roof. No, we’re not just a bar. No, we’re not just a restaurant. Reverie is both. Built on the principle that good company and great service can slow down your day, even if only for a few hours. Different days call for different remedies, different dreams. Seal the business deal over lunch, catch up with your friends over dinner and cocktails, or melt away the week in our upstairs lounge. This is our daydream; what’s yours?

"Was hoping for good local "go to" spot. Turns out food is a little more clever than really great. And those televisions do little for atmosphere. Will return to try a few more things. But not optimistic on atmosphere."

Blending French elegance with the very best in local flavor, Executive Chef Greg Biggers prepares breakfast, lunch and dinner with the freshest ingredients in hand. Working closely with a number of like-minded farmers, Chef Biggers prepares cuisine that changes seasonally and centers around quality and sustainable ingredients. A De-Light prix fixe menu is available, featuring three courses of low calorie dishes. Guests are also invited to enjoy the restaurant’s five or ten course Degustation Menu, available with wine pairings. Also not to be missed is Café des Architectes’ signature Cheese Ritual and comprehensive wine program. This chic Magnificent Mile neighborhood restaurant offers dramatic interiors by Pierre-Yves Rochon, featuring vibrant colors, overstuffed chairs, and dynamic lighting.

"A fabulous meal...quiet and very "conversationally friendly!" Fruit dessert lovely...only quibble...why not two butter/oil spreads on a table for six?"

HUB 51 is the River North creation from R.J. and Jerrod Melman, the younger generation of the Lettuce Entertain You organization. HUB 51 is a convergence of entertainment, nightlife, dining and social activity-much like the offbeat creations of LEYE were years ago. Striving to be at the heart of Chicago's social and dining scene, the attitude at HUB 51 is to expect the unexpected, a place offering unconventional perks, and outstanding food, drink and service in a spacious urban setting.

As soon as you walk through the doors of The Grill on the Alley in Chicago, you are transported to another time and place reminiscent of the great American grills of yesteryear. The unique decor has an elegant feel with its polished hard wood floors, leather banquettes, and white linen tablecloths. A virtual art gallery adorns the walls of our many dining rooms while the sounds of Ella Fitzgerald linger in the background as white-jacketed waiters attend to your every need.

Since opening in June 2000, this high-end steak and seafood house has made its mark on Chicago with locals, and tourists alike. The Grill has become one of the most popular places to gather for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and all types of special occasions. Located on the floor level of the Westin Hotel, The Grill on the Alley is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Chicago with easy access to the McCormick Place Convention Center, shops, museums and theaters.
