"We decided at the last minute to go out to dinner. I made reservations and we headed over. We arrived at the restaurant & were met by a friendly group of host/hostess. We decided to eat at the bar and asked if that was OK and they were kind enough to say anywhere you'd like.
We ordererd a glass of wine & Manhattan cocktail. The bartender Wes is attentive and knows his wine & drinks.
For dinner we ordered the sole amondine & flat iron steak. Both dishes cooked well & looked good on the plate. My sole lacked flavor but the steak was flavorful. We split a spinach salad & that was really good.

"We had dinner here. My husband had asian 5 spice goose and I had the steelhead trout. Both dishes were done well however ( maybe it was the 5 spice) the goose was very salty and my husband loves salty dishes. My trout was cooked to perfection and very tasty. We orders the donut w/pop rocks however the pop rocks are moist atop the donut and don't pop!"

The Restaurant at the Ballard Inn is considered by many to be among the best dining destinations in the Santa Ynez Valley. With just 12 tables, soft music, candle light, and a roaring fireplace, the atmosphere is intimate and inviting. Chef Budi Kazali's award winning French Asian cuisine is sure to please, with signature dishes such as Hamachi Sashimi with Soy-Yuzu Vinaigrette and Grilled Kurobuta Pork Belly . Our servers are eager to help guests to relax and enjoy what we hope is a memorable dining experience. They will help to navigate our extensive wine list, replete with local and international offerings, to select the perfect wine to compliment your meal.

"Good food, service; my husband had the duck..amazing. Well prepared, tasty and cooked to perfection! I had filet mignon atop escoral and blue cheese mashed potatoes. The steak was flavorful and cooked to my medium rare preferance. The mashed potatoes were smooth, silky and very flavorful. The escoral had sand/grit and was off putting. I told the wait person & they seemed to feel bad about it? I don't know I guess if I were the wait person I would try to offer an alternative green. ???"

"For years now we make dinner reservations for birthdays & fathers day and we have loved coming here because of good service and great food. That being said the last 3 times we've been here everything seems to be sliding downhill which is sad.
Our server was a bit slow but I could tell he was really busy (the restaurant was packed). I don't think he was neglecting us just that he had large parties. The food was ok. My steak was cooked perfectly; my husband asked for medium and part of the steak was medium well. The salads were good as was the calamari appetizer. We were discussing that our next birthday we will probably go somewhere else.

"We had reservations at 11:30am on a Sunday. From the check in to seating to our wait person, Alexander, everything was perfect. We had several appetizers and a couple of drinks and it was all good. The ahi tacos are delicious; shrimp coconut was a little dry but tasted good nonetheless."

At Antonello Ristorante, we transport you to not just another place, but to another time. As you walk into Antonello's Main Dining Room, a typical scene from the streets of Bistango, Italy comes alive.

"We arrived at 5:00pm for our reservation. A nice young lady greeted us at the door. Our waiter, Carlos, came up and offered us a cocktail. Since I didn't know what they served I declined and asked for water. We waited a good bit for our menu. When we did receive the menu Carlos explained some of the specials. We asked for a wine menu.Started with a warm spinach salad prepared table side and it was delicious.Carlos graciously split the salad for us.We ordered lamb and veal prosciutto dish.Veal prosciutto tasted good but the veal was a bit tough to cut.My husband did not care for the lamb because it was very gamey. We eat lamb regularly and this was more like a mutton (more mature lamb)Next time we will try the Enoteca section of the restaurant"

"We had dinner reservations and we wanted to take advantage of the pepper steak special they had for September. We stopped at the bar for a cocktail and enjoyed talking to the bartender, Wes, so we decided to stay at the bar for dinner. We started with steamed muscles and it was very good and the broth was delicious. My husband had the fried chicken and started with a wedge salad. It was large, crispy and very good. Our entrees came and both were very good. The steak cooked to perfection and the fried chicken was very good (large portions). My meal came with a bread pudding banana fosters; delectable!"
