Chef Mark and Judy Ellman have opened a seafood shack, right next door to Mala Ocean Tavern. Honu Seafood and Pizza also sits right on the rocks of the Pacific Ocean, with 50 beers, an organic and eclectic wine list, and an extensive scotch and rum selection. Mark and Judy have created an environment that soothes the savage beasts craving of oysters on the half shell, steamed clams and mussels, Crab Louis salad, a selection of Hawaiian seafood, as well as fish from the West and East Coasts of the US. Honu also features a 900 degree brick-oven turning out artisinal pizzas. Come to Honu, drink a local Micro-brewed beer ,eat some freshly shucked oysters on the half shell, and let your eyes and soul relax into the Pacific. Honu, like Mala, is run by Mark and Judy Ellman and their two daughters Ariana and Michelle. Remember, we always try and practice Aloha. Please come and practice with us. <P>Aloha.

"Good food, great views! One suggestion: Instead of Mahi Mahi as the lunch fish sandwich of the day, they should offer another fish. There are so many wonderful varieties of Hawaiian fresh fish out there!"

Mama's Fish House is actually a converted beach house in a coconut grove on a secluded white sand beach. Inside, hinged windows open to let in the trade winds and Polynesian artifacts and original oil paintings decorate tropical hardwood walls. The rooms are filled with spectacular flower arrangements and tapa print cloths cover the tables. Outdoor dining is equally exciting, and everyone enjoys watching the windsurfers performing offshore.

"My wife and I had a wonderful experience. First, we had a perfect table with a water view. The calamari appetizer was the best we ever had. The onaga was also the best--very, very fresh and delicious. The opakapaka special was great but you must like macadamia nuts as it was covered with those. Also, our server, "Junior," was as good as any server anywhere! So, it was a marvelous way to celebrate my birthday."

"My wife and I both had the salad with ahi tuna, which was very good. We find that Mala, like many other good Maui restaurants, excel equally at lunch as they do for dinner. Best of all they offer much better price/value options at lunch time!"

The Leis Family Class Act Restaurant is our student run fine dining room at the University of Hawaii Maui College. Students enrolled in the Maui Culinary Academy are your chefs and servers under the leadership of their instructors. We serve a 4-course prix fixe menu on Wednesdays and Fridays with reservations available from 11:00am - 12:30pm. Our price for the complete 4-course meal ranges from $29 - $39 depending upon the entree selected. The globally influenced menu changes weekly. Be sure to call early for reservations as we are sometimes sold out weeks in advance. "Still the best lunch on Maui. One minor word of caution to newcomers: Be patient–the servers are young and inexperienced. Our server, for example, didn't know what the fish of the day was or what one of the regular dishes was on the menu. After that, everything was superb. Oh, we had an incredible butterscotch and chocolate pudding dessert!"

Mick Fleetwood selected the Celebrity Chef and FOX TV Star Scott Leibfried to lead his culinary team. Chef Scott is Sous Chef to Gordon Ramsay on Hell"s Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares. Scott is a wildly creative celebrity chef who is closely working with Mick to craft both unique and familiar foods that represent Mick's taste. Fleetwood's on Front St. will offer a menu like no other in the world. From simple foods brought to life with brilliant accents from nature to old English favorites to Hawaiian cuisine with an international twist the food will be exquisite, eclectic and yet comfortably familiar. And of course, the kids will always be able to order a burger or Fleetwood Mac & Cheese . . . .

"The pasta dishes were good, but not very good because for homemade pasta it was a bit overcooked. The fish and meat dishes were quite expensive and we held off ordering those as there are other restaurants in town that have excellent fish, in particular, for the same prices."
