The Arsenal is the 200-seat restaurant & bar housed within the brewery, Bluejacket. The menu, crafted by Executive Chef Kyle Bailey of Birch & Barley and ChurchKey and Chef de Cuisine Dan Hahndorf, updates, refines and extends the classic fare of beer halls and public houses by featuring the best locally sourced products available and highlighting house-made specialties such as charcuterie, fresh pastas, alongside whole-roasted meats, hearty grains and seasonal vegetables. A menu of gourmet sandwiches, house-ground burgers and bar snacks is the perfect accompaniment to a signature Bluejacket brew.

Rounding out the savory offerings at lunch and dinner is Pastry Chef Tiffany MacIsaac’s robust bread program, which includes breads made with spent grain from the brewery. Chef MacIsaac’s renowned desserts also grace the menu with a number of seasonal pies served with freshly spun ice creams.

"It was my first time at Arsenal at Bluejacket. The weather was cool, so as we arrived they were closing the outdoor dining area. Inside, the ambiance and decor is excellent - some kind of steampunk meets brewery style. We got some appetizers - pretzels are ok but fried chickpeas are great - and various beers. For our main courses, the gnocchi had some great flavors and the burger was juicy and flavorful. The beer list is extensive and it will take various trips to come close to trying them all. I had three which were all good and worth having again, but none surprised me or stood out as much as I would have hoped. The bar area, where we did not sit, has many TVs and looks great for game watching.
Will definitely return."

If you are unable to book a reservation through open table please feel free to join us at one of our non-reservation tables. We hold several tables for walk in guests, including all seating on our patio, weather permitting. Please be advised that we serve an All-Day Brunch Menu on Sundays through 8:00pm, with a couple supplemental dinner items offered after 5:00pm. Our normal bread service, dessert menu and Chef's Tasting Menu are not available at this time.

"Lots of different food options arranged on various tables from sweet to savory, omelets and desserts. All were very good, especially the grilled vegetables and roast beef. The coffee is also good and might be Intelligentsia, though I don't recall. We split a Bakers brunch punch bowl between two people, which is orange and grapefruit juices and a bottle of Prosecco.
The decor inside is nice. There is also an outdoor seating area, though given that it was currently under assault by the polar vortex, we ate indoors.
Well recommended for a nice brunch and as a good place to bring out of town guests."

Stephen Starr brings his signature brand of hospitality and design to the nation’s capital with the opening of Le Diplomate, located at 14th & Q. Serving lunch, brunch and dinner, the stylish 260 seat restaurant transports diners to the beloved cafés of Boulevard Saint-Germain in Paris. The extensive menu features a variety of classic dishes including Onion Soup Gratinee, Steak Frites, and Poulet Roti as well as contemporary bistro fare, with dishes such as Shaved Veal Tongue with Mache and Bavette de Boeuf à l’Echalote. A thoughtfully curated wine list and cocktail program perfectly complements the cuisine and creates an environment suitable for romantic dinners or lively group gatherings. In warmer weather, enjoy dining "en plein air" in the stunning outdoor café where you can take in the bustling energy of DC while sipping on the perfect kir royale.
