"The good: fine range of food options from a choice of salads to meat dishes and pastas. The calamari fritti appetizer could be a light supper and is one of the best executions around. Complimentary tapenade is wonderful; served with a soft bread--should maybe be a sturdier type. Lengthy wine list, even half bottles and wines by the glass. Open kitchen makes a seat at the bar an education. The waitstaff is sensitive to the time constraints of theater goers.
The not so good: Tuesday is happy hour at the bar all evening. The whole restaurant is enveloped in sound. This was our first visit on a Tuesday. Avoid on that night. Wines are pricey; cheapest two at $36 except for splits; should be possible to offer some choices under $30, esp in CA!

Voted Best Outdoor Dining in Sonoma County 2011 by the North Bay Bohemian! Corks at Russian River Vineyards is the only winery-based restaurant in the Russian River Valley, featuring the seasonal best from local growers and emphasizes organic meats and sustainable agriculture. Our goal is to nourish and delight our guests with cooking grounded in the traditions and ingredients of California Wine Country. We're proud to introduce Todd Davies to our community as Corks Restaurant's new Executive Chef. It's the perfect pairing for both of us. For Todd, it's a chance to cook in Sonoma County's Wine Country where fresh, organic ingredients are plentiful. For Russian River Vineyards in an opportunity to work with a talented chef who values our fine wines and creates dishes that complement the quality and care we put in to our wines. We invite you to an exceptional experience!

"Still a favorite. Chef Ruben is a fabulous, inventive but grounded chef. Artful combinations and intense flavors. Portions are generous. The New Year's Eve prix fixe was amazing. Much of the produce comes from the restaurant's own garden and most everything else is locally sourced; the wine list represents the producers in the area. Very good choice in wine country."
Special Valentine's Day Dinner 3 course menu, $50 pp.

For over 15 years, we have offered great Northern Italian Cuisine in a casually elegant neighborhood restaurant. Ivo and Peter, father and son owners/hosts, ensure that your service is professional and friendly. In addition to our homemade pastas, breads, and desserts, we offer a wonderful selection of fresh fish and prime steaks. Specialties include Veal Osso Buco and the best Chicken Parmesan in Los Angeles. Our full bar complements the approachable wine list. A neighborhood favorite, stop by and visit us...

"Food was delicious and nicely presented. The server offered to do half orders of the special soup so we could both have some without doing a full order. This was a nice touch and we availed ourselves of the offer. Wines are accessibly well priced--most at or under $30. Thoughtful and interesting selections on the wine list. This was a nice place to have a girlfriend dinner."
