Founding Farmers, the Greenest Restaurant in DC, offers fresh Farm-to-Table, sustainable, American inspired true food and drink.  Our menus include classic dishes made from scratch, inspired by the heartland with sustainably farmed products, with locally sourced items and in-season vegetables and fruits whenever possible. <br /><br />Guests can gather around one of many community tables and enjoy great family dinner dishes like pot pie, pot roast, roasted chicken, big green salads, rustic farm sandwiches, soups, and rich, delectable pies and other desserts from our seasonal menus, in a comfortable modern farmhouse setting.<br /><br />The restaurant is upscale casual, which welcomes business casual dress, and dress that would be appropriate in a nice restaurant; this includes jeans and athletic wear, and warm-weather clothing, including shorts.<br />

"Not my kind of place. This was my second visit. Same experience. I had a reservation, but was seated 20 minutes later. A mob scene in the lobby full of people waiting. Felt as if I were in the Olive Garden. Hard to talk. Waiter asked us every 5 minutes if we needed anything. Very close to the next table with small children. Not sure why people like this restaurant. The food is good, comfort food, but not my scene."
