Trabocco brings something new and exciting to Alameda. Chef-owner, Giuseppe Naccarelli presents a seasonally inspired menu of classic Italian dishes with a modern twist, influenced by the cuisine of his native region of Abruzzo. <br />A Trabocco is a unique fishing pier found along the Adriatic coast of Abruzzo. Architect and Designer Lev Weisbach of Weisbach Architecture|Design was inspired by the beautiful Trabocchi of Abruzzo when he created his spectacular design. With its reclaimed wood ceilings, dramatic copper encased fireplace, and modern bar Trabocco is warm and welcoming yet strikingly dramatic and modern.

In it's 18-year history, Bridges has received many accolades and awards, including being honored as one of Diablo magazine's "Seven Best Restaurants in the East Bay". Whether dining on the lush, vine-covered patio while enjoying the sounds from our natural granite waterfall, or relaxing indoors amid a sophisticated, comfortable ambiance you will discover why Bridges is a favorite Bay Area dining destination. Executive Chef Kevin Gin awes with his innovative interpretation of California cuisine featuring European and Asian influences. The staff's professional eye for detail and commitment to exceptional service add to the upscale, yet unpretentious dining experience. Bridges warm elegance, spectacular menu and great energy make it the ideal venue for socializing with friends, celebrations, business meetings or private events.

"We went to Bridges for our wedding anniversary with four other friends. It's the first time to Bridges for all of us, and we were delighted we went there! We each ordered a cocktail - Martini, Margarita, Mojito..., and everyone liked it. We also ordered appetizers for the table: Crispy Chicken and Shrimp Spring Rolls, Warm Phyllo Wrapped Brie with Balsamic Honey, Vietnamese Pork and Prawns Wrap, Hand Crafted Pizzetta. They were delicious. The salads and main courses were very good, too: Pan Roasted Pork Porterhouse, Maple Leaf Duck Breast, Mexican Prawns with Thai Red Curry & Coconut Milk Sauce and Grilled Creekstone Farm New York Steak. Let's just say that we all left thinking that we should come back again!"

"We had a group of 16 in one of the private dining room. When we first arrived, the tables were set for 14, even though I gave the final count of 16 - the server said that he was not told that.
The room was a bit too small. The tables were set in a "T" shape, so it is hard for communication between the two people sitting at the end of the top to the rest of the group.
We had three main course selections: French Toast, Fillet of Salmon and Short Rib Hash. The first 2 items looked really good, and the 3rd one is OK. The bottomless mimosa was a popular drink order. One of the guest ordered Gin Fizz and he said that it was terrible.
Overall, good experience for the Group.
