"The restaurant was rather empty at noon when I and my guest arrived. We ordered drinks but our waitress did not know what a "7 and Seven" is and brought plain 7-Up. When asked where the "Seven" was, she said that the restaurant didn't have that brand of bottled water, but offer the house sparkling brand! Eventually the Seagram's Seven appeared in a glass of its own for my guest to pour into his 7-Up.
Salads were decent, as was cheesecake for dessert.
By the time we were about 30-45 minutes into the meal, the restaurant was quite full and rather noisy.
Will repeat - but note that it will only be for very informal occasions with friends."
"Clients recommended this restaurant when asked their preference. I thought the food was quite well-prepared, tasty, and plentiful. Service was cheerful and efficient. I will repeat. NB: "Ancora" is now "Antinori" and it is directly across Stone Street from its original home and is now located in the Doubletree Hotel"
