"For me, the surprise was that the Asian touches were very subtle.
For instance: Sable marinated (?) in miso. ever so slightly sweet.
A heavenly , cool lime dessert.

"lInvited 2 friends who'd enjoyed Ripple as a new discovery. We were very lucky to have a table in the small front room. It became a private party for us.
Delicious fresh bread. Beet salad. Risotto. Lime curd dessert....for me. One friend enjoyed saddle of lamb and another had 2 appetizers, which she claimed were just right for her.
Casual...with good food."

"Food is quite good.
Able to serve quickly enough for those going to Kennedy Center.
As to noise level, it is best not to sit near the bar.
Can be very busy on KC nights.
Good variety on menu!!

"Excellent service.
beautiful view and less noise in booths near the windows. Can be very noisy, however.
Sardines--delicious. coorful salad with oranges was fine.
bredetto--seafoods in a tangy tomato-based broth. somewhat like bouillabaisse. "Not my best cup of tea." I'll try fish next time.
Baba al rhum: Very good, but I prefer the French version with a bit more rum.
Entrees go to $45.
Confusing entrances....many doors.

"Food was very good and the portions were very abundant.
One member of our group was upset that she could not make substations in her vegetables.

Inspired to create a casual Italian restaurant in their own neighborhood, the culinary team behind Washington, DC’s award-winning Ristorante Tosca opened the doors to Posto, “a modern Italian place to meet,” in December 2008. It is located in a beautiful, century-old building (which at one time was a car dealership!) on the newly re-energized 14th St. NW – right next door to The Studio Theater, and just steps away from P St. and its hubbub of activity. As a proud new addition to the Logan Circle neighborhood, Posto serves classic and modern Italian dishes, and is the perfect place to drop in for a cocktail and a quick bite, or a multi-course meal shared with friends. A custom-built, wood-burning oven located in the back of the dining room entices guests with the smells of just-baked Neapolitan style pizzas and focaccia.

Nestled on the corner of Connecticut and Florida Avenues, this inspired Russian restaurant and lounge is evocatively reminiscent of the era of the Tsars. The Russian-European elegance of the Russia House offers a uniquely warm and comfortable meeting place for anyone appreciative of its friendly and intimate coziness. It is the perfect meeting place for the true Washington socialite. The Russian-infused intercontinental cuisine pleases the most refined palate with such nouveau-traditional entrees as the Beef Stroganoff and the Chicken Kiev. Further true to tradition, the Russia House features an impressive selection of caviars and one of the largest vodka collections in Washington, D.C.

Carmine’s is a family style, value-driven restaurant concept with locations in NYC, NJ, Nassau Bahamas, and Washington DC. Restaurateur Artie Cutler created Carmine’s with one goal in mind: to open a restaurant that would serve every meal in the style of an Italian American wedding feast, featuring extra large portions of home-style antipasto, pastas, seafood and meat entrees served on extra large platters designed for sharing. Carmine’s is the perfect place to casually enjoy friends and family over great food and wine, with excellent service, the way it used to be at grandma’s house.
