"I met a friend for brunch at Range on a Sunday at noon. The location is extremely convenient to the Friendship Heights metro station. Having been to Volt and also Family Dinner in Frederick, we had high expectations.
My friend started with a tasty bellini. I ordered an IPA from the very decent on tap offerings.
My friend ordered the breakfast egg sandwich on a croissant, with potatoes, and I ordered on of the pizzas. Both of them were fine, but I expected to have more lunch entree options at brunch.
We decided to have desert and my friend ordered the milk and cookies. The milk was infused with anise - very strange and not sure it complimented the cookies, which were excellent. I ordered the Creamsicle, described as, "sweet cream sherbet, orange curd, vanilla meringue, passion 'dos leches' cake." Turned out there was no creamsicle available that day and I ended up sharing milk and cookies.

Opened in November 2011, MoCo's Founding Farmers is one of the most popular restaurants in the U.S. With a fresh, seasonal menu of farmhouse favorites and new American traditional dishes, our menus of true food and drink offer something for everyone, in a modern and eco-friendly urban farmhouse setting.

The restaurant is upscale casual, which welcomes business casual dress, and dress that would be appropriate in a nice restaurant; this includes jeans and athletic wear, and warm-weather clothing, including shorts.
"I met a friend for brunch, at noon on a Saturday, and ordered the Southern Fried Chicken. As in the past, the food was excellent. I could have gone for a few less greens, or for them to be a bit more cooked through, but the chicken, mashed potatoes, and biscuit were delicious.
The only down side was that we talked for some time, and after the meal I headed over to Harris Teeter's to pick up a couple of items. Having parked in the garage, it cost me $8 get out.

"I met a friend for dinner at the Hamilton on a chilly Monday night. The location, as always, is extremely handy for anyone visiting, DC. I haven't yet had a miss eating at the Hamilton. The service was impeccable, but the Campanelle Short Rib Ragu recommended by the server, was perfectly sauced, the meat was incredibly tender, and I may have a new addiction. Comfort food at its best. My friend had the Sea Bass and also greatly enjoyed the meal."

Boss Shepherd’s is Penn Quarter’s hottest farm-to-table restaurant, where guests can enjoy a fresh approach to traditional American cuisine. Named after DC’s original governor, who was often referred to as the Father of Modern Washington, Boss Shepherd was one of the most powerful city bosses in his day and was responsible for creating DC’s infrastructure, ultimately convincing Congress to continue to operate in the District of Columbia. A statue of Boss Shepherd reigns half a block away, in front of the John A. Wilson Building.

Instilled with Chef Jeremy Waybright’s southern inspiration, the menu boasts fresh takes on time-honored, rustic classics that can please the palate of any guest. Chef Waybright’s use of farm-to-table ingredients is evident in innovative starters such as the Maine blue mussels with sausage, cider beer, vermouth and pickled chili, or delectable bone marrow served with herbs, pickled egg, breakfast radish and toast.

"I met a friend for dinner on a Saturday night and we were seated in the lounge area. They brought Pimento Cheese to start, which was perfect with cocktails. They have an excellent cocktail menu and beer list and the Green Hat Rickey was tasty. We tried the Virginia Ham and also the Bone Marrow to start. Both were delicious. We each had the Fried Chicken as our entree. It was cooked perfectly and the Smoked Egg Yolk sauce left me wondering if they would sell me some to take home. Our was impeccable - he was very knowledgeable about the food and even checked to make sure we were not in a rush (trying to catch a show, etc.) since the Bone Marrow would take a few minutes to prepare."

"Met a friend for dinner before heading to The Nutcracker at The Warner (only a block away). I ordered the Slow Roasted Lamb sandwich, which was delicious, especially the oven roasted tomatoes on the sandwich. I ordered the Macaroni & Cheese on the side (get some - almost a religious experience).
Truly a perfect place to meet before (or after) catching a show."
