Loretta Keller's new south of market hotspot brings in the crowds to enjoy its warm, modern vibe and bold, stimulating flavors. Italian glass tile, Douglass fir, chocolate tones and rich teak finishes set the mood in this 1906 wood structure that anchored the corner of Fourth and Brannan as Bizou since 1993. The restaurant's commitment to high quality, small production ingredients begins in the kitchen, extends through the wine list, and forms the foundation of the new-fashioned bar. Cocktails at COCO5OO are handcrafted utilizing organic ingredients - fresh squeezed juices and premium, small production spirits.

farmerbrown is about supporting local and African-American farmers, using organic, biodynamic, and/or sustainably raised foods, and beverages whenever possible. Our focus is Southern food, a gift that is often mis-represented. We love our food and want you to love it, too. Chef-owner Jay Foster (formerly of Emmy's Spaghetti Shack and BlueJay Cafe) is the creative force behind farmerbrown's unique take on soul food. Partner, Deanna Sison, a former cooking show producer, completes the team, bringing with her years of experience in the hospitality industry and a passion for food. Our philosophy revolves around providing the freshest possible organic ingredients for their wholesome southern American classics, presented lovingly to their local communities. This marriage of farm fresh southern cuisine with local Bay Area ingredients in a down home soulful atmosphere gives farmerbrown its unique vibe. From the entrees to the cocktails to the interior design, everything is hand-made!

Sister restaurant of Kokkari, Evvia has been serving beautiful and elegant Greek cuisine since 1995. Fabulous fish, savory roasted meats, and sun-soaked vegetables are jazzed up with a spritz of lemon, a little olive oil, and herbs. There is perfection in simplicity.

"We came for lunch and the food, service and ambiance were perfect. Not to be missed are the appetizer lamb riblets and the saganaki melted cheese. We will be back."

Zero Zero opened in 2010 inspired by Chef Bruce Hill’s dedication to farm driven ingredients, combined with his love for wood-fired pizzas that have been nicknamed “Calipolitan”. Michael Bauer of the San Francisco Chronicle named us the French Laundry of upscale pizza, and the readers of 7x7 Magazine voted us “Best Pizza in San Francisco”. In addition to pizza, our menu showcases housemade pastas, a variety of market-fresh appetizers, and artisan soft serve. We also have two big time bars with a selection of seasonal house cocktails, beers, and 12 wines on tap.

La Note is an authentic Provençal restaurant in the heart of downtown Berkeley. Traditional breakfast and lunch bistro fare are combined with rustic Provençal dinners in a warm and charming atmosphere. The restaurant's owner won an award in excellence in 1998 for "outstanding storefront improvements" and rehabilitation of its beautiful 1875 building. The stunning interior patio is open April - October.

Cafe Tiramisu is an attractive, modest trattoria outfitted with stylized murals of Pompeii and other Roman ruins. Located in the heart of the financial district but you will feel like you are in Italy.
