nopa Kitchen + Bar, a new 160 seat American brasserie in the heart of the Penn Quarter. This is the award-winning restaurateur's eighth restaurant in the nation's capitol and it serves American fare with French and Asian influences. The restaurant offers lively dining in the main dining room, and also offers quieter dining options and several private dining rooms. The name represents nopa's location just north of Pennsylvania Avenue and it welcomes guests for lunch and dinner, and Sunday brunch. Our newly launched brunch is served from 11am-3pm on Sunday, order a la carte or partake in our Champagne Brunch- any two courses with infinite mimosas for $30!

"When you walk into the restaurant and the first thing you get is a greeting and big hug from Levi (who pointed out that I was cheating on 701...), you know you're in for a great evening. I brought four friends after a concert, and they loved the place - the service (Names was fantastic, knowledgeable, and patient with us), the rolls, and - not least - the rest of the food. The beer drinkers were pleased with the DC Brau on tap, too. We mixed up salads and appetizers, and they were all spectacular: lentil soup, baby lettuces (the champagne vinaigrette is perfect), radish salad, baby beet salad, meatballs with kale, gnocchi (get it - it's outstanding), beef tartare - all delicious, individually and in combination. Thanks, NoPa team!"

701 is a modern American restaurant with exquisite food framed by an elegant decor. Join us in our bar & lounge for our signature cocktails and small plates or dine with us in our sumptuous dining room. During the spring & summer, our patio is tucked onto the Navy Memorial plaza, with splashing fountains providing a very Parisian feel.

We offer pre-theater menus if you are going to a show, light fare in the lounge, and lunch at the bar specials for those tight on time. Our lunch menu is a favorite among business clientele; dinner is perfect for a special occasion or simply a special night out.

"Another event, another wonderful visit to 701. The food is, of course, reliably excellent. This time, we went with the 3-course prix-fixe lunch. Three choices for each course, and no way to go wrong. I would have been happy to have the butternut squash for each course, actually. But 701's secret weapon, and the real reason we have so much FUN coming back, is Petra. She seriously knows her stuff. Seriously. She's incredibly helpful with suggestions, and knows just how to make sure you get the most out of your lunch. Also, if you're on a schedule, she'll get you out the door without it feeling rushed. This time, we also got to meet Jennifer, who makes you feel welcomed right away. It's a great team at 701!"

"Nopa is becoming a favorite. The food is reliably excellent, starting with the outrageously good rolls that arrive not long after you do. During Restaurant Week, there was a nice range of choices, from garlic sausage and a beet salad as appetizers, to salmon over carrots and butternut squash puree (star anise/nutmeg/black pepper crust!) and the ever-spectacular burger. We both had the chocolate napoleon for dessert (the amazing fried pies not being a RW choice, which is good). I love that you get a little French press pot of coffee when you order a cup.
The service at Nopa is wonderful. Everyone is so nice and remembers you from the last time you were there. A particular shout-out to Colin and Mark for being especially wonderful."

"701 is the place we come back to, year after year, for RW. In fact, we were there twice this week. The RW menu is nicely varied, with new things and reliable favorites. This year, the pork, salmon and beef were stand-outs. The beet salad is to die for, as is the warm butternut squash salad, and I'm told, the cauliflower soup. And there's no wrong move on the dessert menu.
But the main reason we keep going back is Petra. Now that RW is over, I'll write that down. (I want to able to get into her section!) We got to sit with Petra both days; today we also had Levi, and they're a good team. Petra is fun and nice and so knowledgeable about the menu. You can never have a bad meal when she's there. And Levi is a terrific guy. Seek them out!"
