We source all our meats from Pino's Prime Meat, located right across the street from Da Marcella since 1903, including the organic free-range chicken in our menu. All our pastas are made with the best durum wheat using the classic bronze dies that leave the surface of the pasta rough and porous to perfectly absorb our slow cooking sauces. At the same time, most of our pastas are organic and very...soon all of them will be. We believe that great food should be affordably priced.

We have a passion for good food and excellent service utilizing the best ingredients. Most importantly we have a love for food, service and quality.

Our philosophy is simple: cook with real food to create unbelievable results. Authentic food, authentic service. You deserve it.

WINE and BEER ONLY!

"Among four of us, we tried 9 savory dishes & 2 desserts. Everyone was happy with everything. My own fluke ceviche, venison and chocolate icebox cake with caramelized banana were superb and I enjoyed the tastes that my friends offered me."

"One of our favorite restaurants was not as wonderful as it usually is. My husband's appetizer, bass crudo, and his main course,
trout, were delicious, but my frito misto appetizer and spaghetti were too garlicky and too salty. Our waiter and our wine were excellent.

"Having come here often, we have high expectations. The appetizer salad was tasty but tiny. We were frustrated that we had to wait for over an hour for our main courses even though we were among the earliest to arrive. The striped bass and especially the short ribs with spring vegetables were delicious, but it was frustrating to eat them in the dark well after the music started. Our waitress apologized and offered to comp the appetizers so the negative score for service is directed at the kitchen."

Chef Bill Telepan acclaimed former chef of the 3-star Judson Grill will serve the very best and freshest of seasonal foods impeccably prepared and paired with an interesting, hand- picked and reasonably priced selection of wines. Ruth Reichl described his cooking as “…extremely eloquent; each of [his] unassuming dishes roars with flavor, and the minute you finish one bite you instantly want another. His direct style draws diners into a vibrant interplay of textures, tastes and colors.” Telepan, an exciting new destination located in the heart of the Upper West Side, will welcome fine dining enthusiasts from around the city, as well as the pre- and post-theater Lincoln Center crowd.

"Slow service put a damper on what was otherwise an excellent meal. We arrived at 5:45 and told our waiter we needed to leave for a show at 7:45. He assured us we would have plenty of time to enjoy the regular four course menu. After an hour and 15 minutes we had been served only our first course. Our waiter told us not to worry, that the kitchen had everything under control. We felt rushed through the last three courses in 45 minutes."

Over the years together, Wolfgang Ban and Eduard Frauneder have perfected their own modern take on Austrian cuisine - one which combines traditional techniques, contemporary innovations, and updates to some of their favorite childhood dishes. The team behind the prestigious private catering group, Elderberry Catering, chefs Ban and Frauneder, together with a small group of investors, have opened Seasonal Restaurant & Weinbar, their first venture open to the public. Their goal is to provide elegant home-cooking in a sleek but welcoming setting.

The chefs at Seasonal pride themselves on maintaining the utmost quality in their cuisine, and therefore, consistent with its name, the kitchen uses only the freshest seasonal ingredients. The visual presentation of each plate is the final step in the process, and the chefs have ensured that the look of each plate matches the refinement of the food itself and the décor, creating an unforgettable dining experience.

One of America’s most beloved restaurants, Gramercy Tavern has welcomed guests for close to two decades to enjoy seasonal American cuisine, warm hospitality and unparalleled service. The restaurant is perennially ranked at the top of Zagat Survey’s ‘Most Popular’ list, and has garnered eight James Beard Awards including ‘Outstanding Restaurant’ and ‘Best Chef: NYC’. Chef Michael Anthony’s highly seasonal menu consists of elegant dishes with a rustic influence that showcase the restaurant’s relationships with local farms and purveyors.

The Main Dining Room serves prix-fixe menus starting at $92 for dinner and an a la carte menu for lunch, and accepts reservations 28 days in advance.

The more casual Tavern serves an a la carte menu centered around the wood burning grill, and welcomes guests on a walk-in basis. The restaurant also features an acclaimed wine list, and thoughtfully selected beer and cocktail offerings.

"Sometimes you're not in the mood for creative unusual preparations but rather just very fresh seafood simply & perfectly prepared. Their bread is also excellent. Fulton is perfect for such occasions and we are lucky to have it on the UES."

"We have been coming here for the past several years, before concerts at Carnegie Hall. The food has always been good and the atmosphere conducive to conversation. Based on two visits in 2014, the food has improved from good to outstanding. The prix-fixe pre-theater menu is a good value."
