nopa Kitchen + Bar, a new 160 seat American brasserie in the heart of the Penn Quarter. This is the award-winning restaurateur's eighth restaurant in the nation's capitol and it serves American fare with French and Asian influences. The restaurant offers lively dining in the main dining room, and also offers quieter dining options and several private dining rooms. The name represents nopa's location just north of Pennsylvania Avenue and it welcomes guests for lunch and dinner, and Sunday brunch. Our newly launched brunch is served from 11am-3pm on Sunday, order a la carte or partake in our Champagne Brunch- any two courses with infinite mimosas for $30!

"A great value - two menu items (main plus app or desset), plus unlimited mimosa or champagne for $30. Plus, there are a lot of other tempting a la carte options. Had smokefish pate and skillet eggs. Both substantial portions plus you receive a complimentary bread basket, with pretty good bread. Busy but not packed on a Sunday afternoon, took a while to get drinks though our waitress had a lot of tables. Seemed to be a slightly older, better dressed crowd than for your typical brunch. Could take your parents here!
Only dislike - the mimosas seemed pretty weak.
Definitely would recommend this as a good brunch option."

"Came here with a 3 friends before heading out on a Friday night. Restaurant was crowded as NCAA tournament on - sat downstairs. Like the complementary chips and dip although they came out at the same time as our entrees. Good, strong drinks, too! Had the burger with onion rings - very good. Nice portions and all of us (4 guys) were full and satisfied for not a lot of money."

"Came here again for a birthday brunch for a friend. Very happy to see the bottomless mimosas back. Good service although we weren't told until the end that only 4 cards could be accepted and then there were additional issues with the credit card. Had the pizza which was good."

"Our server made great recommendations and the food was delicious - marinated steak, bok choy, chicken. All were delicious. Did not love the cocktails as much. Service was great."

Stephen Starr brings his signature brand of hospitality and design to the nation’s capital with the opening of Le Diplomate, located at 14th & Q. Serving lunch, brunch and dinner, the stylish 260 seat restaurant transports diners to the beloved cafés of Boulevard Saint-Germain in Paris. The extensive menu features a variety of classic dishes including Onion Soup Gratinee, Steak Frites, and Poulet Roti as well as contemporary bistro fare, with dishes such as Shaved Veal Tongue with Mache and Bavette de Boeuf à l’Echalote. A thoughtfully curated wine list and cocktail program perfectly complements the cuisine and creates an environment suitable for romantic dinners or lively group gatherings. In warmer weather, enjoy dining "en plein air" in the stunning outdoor café where you can take in the bustling energy of DC while sipping on the perfect kir royale.

"Didn't love my cocette with asparagus and boudin noir. The croissant was $3 but very large and good. Disappointed that we received the bread basket halfway thru the meal. The romarin cocktail was delicious as remembered. Good, but not intrusive service."
