Artisans is an intimate, warm and cozy fire-lit restaurant that extends out to the Lodge’s wide covered porches in fine weather. The high windows and grand porches seem to seat the diner almost upon the lake. The dedicated culinary team offers a full menu based on farm to table cuisine. The cuisine is seasonally inspired and New American in tradition, but voyages wonderfully and mysteriously into the world beyond. The Lodge has an exceptional wine collection that ranges from the modest to the illustrious and a magnificent and romantic dine-in wine cellar for special occasions.

Artisans is open to the public, and seating is limited, so reservations are highly recommended. Dining room service begins each evening at 6pm. Children over the age of twelve are welcome at the Lake Placid Lodge.

"We spent a delightful evening at Artisan's. We had a "window" seat overlooking Lake Placid - watching the boats, the mountains, the clouds, etc. They have a four course $80 meal and it was delicious - good choices, well prepared and presented. There was a savory served before the meail; an amuse bouche and extra desserts. We had a nice glass of wine and wonderful service. We sat on the porch and there was a fire going and warm blankets on the chairs if needed. It was my husband's birthday and they brought our dessert with a candle which was nice. Elizabeth was the perfect server."

"Seasons 52 gives you the opportunity to dine on good food while staying on your diet plan! Calories are kept down and choices are varied. Our server was perky, friendly and efficient. We shared a flatbread with artichokes and goat cheese. Joe had trout and I had the summer vegetarian dish. We each had a glass of wine - there are many choices by the glass. You can try before you buy! One critique is that the lighting is poor - so the servers have to lend you flashlights to see the menu. Otherwise - it was a delightful evening!"

"Lunch was served watching views of boats, ducks, waves, and big skies. The food was delicious - fish tacos, salad, lobster roll. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. There was a problem with flies - not on the food, but on the windows. Also the price is too high, but it was a special celebration for us so we enjoyed it all."

The Blue Pig Tavern serves American cuisine-nostalgic, simple and fresh. Executive Chef Jeremy Einhorn has implemented a delicious farm-to-table menu featuring fresh produce, herbs and eggs from our very own Beach Plum Farm, located less than 2 miles from the restaurant!

In the warmer months, dine on our wonderful, secluded patio. In the cooler months, cozy up to our magnificent dining room fireplace. The Blue Pig Tavern drives its name from a gambling parlor sited at Congress Hall in the mid 1800's. Earlier still, in the 1700s, Elias Hughes operated a tavern for whalers on this site. It was the first tavern in Cape May.

"The Blue Pig Tavern is in the Congress Hall Hotel one block from the Atlantic Ocean. There was a roaring fire going the morning we went for breakfast. The china and serving pieces are made by the same company that was used in the 1800's and the tables and chairs follow that theme. The service was fine and the food good - but I always wonder why some places can't make substitutes and others can accommodate your needs. I wanted to substitute a pancake for the toast and potatoes with my omelet but I couldn't. I don't think this is good business. We enjoyed our meal - veggies omelet and fried eggs and the coffee was good served in a solid mug. We would go back."

"Tisha's was originally on the beach but is now on Washington Street Mall. The decor is soft and calming. Our server was okay - had to ask for butter twice and the butter was discolored. The rolls were warm. The wine list is awful and there is nothing on the web site saying you can bring your own wine - those who come often know so most people brought their own bottle. The only wine is from Cape May and they only had one of the three white wines available. That said, the food was fantastic - seafood risotto and blackened salmon. You definitely need a reservation - people were turned away without one. If I lived in the area, I would go back with my own wine."

"This restaurant is in a small strip mall and has two sections - the bar section which is darker and the table section. Most people seemed to choose the bar section. It was happy hour at the bar and that might have been the draw. Server sounded scripted - food was decent but for the atmosphere overpriced. I had a coupon so that helped. I might go for lunch or the happy hour only."
