The term “AQ” (“As Quoted”) often appears on classic restaurant menus to describe fresh, seasonal or specialty items. For this restaurant we extended this concept one step further—As we update the menu to reflect the freshest produce, we also gradually transform the interior of the restaurant to reflect the palette and tone of the current season. Executive Chef/Owner Mark Liberman showcases the quality and diversity of local produce, meats, fish and dairy by employing classic French technique, elegant plating and an unwavering commitment to flawless execution. We offer a nightly 4 course Prix Fixe menu, or our spontaneously inspired tasting menu.

Waterbar is a seafood-centric restaurant located on the waterfront with spectacular panoramic views of the bay and city skyline, exceptional design, and a menu of the freshest sustainable fish and seafood. Featuring stunning outdoor (dog-friendly) dining on the waterfront patio, a relaxed atmosphere and floor-to-ceiling circular aquariums filled with an eye-catching array of fish and marine life from the Pacific Ocean Waterbar is not to be missed.

Chef Jennifer Jasinski's creatively inspired Mediterranean food is influenced by local seasonal products. Rioja is simple, pure food that emphasizes bright flavors & textures. The wines are a collection of fun interesting varietals that compliment the cuisine.

The Café at Chez Panisse, located upstairs, opened in 1980 to offer an alternative to the set menu served in the Restaurant downstairs. The Café offers a moderately priced à la carte menu for both lunch and dinner. It has an open kitchen along one side of the room with a charcoal grill and a wood burning oven. The menu changes daily and is inspired by local, seasonal ingredients. Reservations are recommended. Please call and let the reservationist know if anyone in your party requires special accommodation to access our upstairs Café dining room.

"We have eaten many times at the cafe over the last 25 years. The environment and service were still as charming as ever after the rebuilding from the fire. The food was disappointing. A nice salad swam in dressing. We did not even consider asking for dressing on the side based on our experience. My oysters were tiny and flavorless. They were from New Brunswick! What happened to locally sourced food? Our main courses were over salted. About 90 % of our experiences have been highly positive, but we have run into occasional disappointments such as this one. Quality control may be slipping."
