Avenue Grill is located at the corner of 14th St. & Pennsylvania Avenue inside the JW Marriott. Its design celebrates the history of America’s Main Street & its cuisine features classic American food & wine. Angus steaks & fresh seafood accompanied by creative appetizers & great salads are complimented by an extensive wine list prepared by our J.W. Wine Ambassadors.

The restaurant offers a 20% discount on food between 5 pm and 6.45 pm if you present your theater ticket from the same day to the server.

"Arrived here for 6:00 reservation to have dinner before a 7:30 show at the National Theater. The waiter, while he was nice and smiled, seemed scattered/rushed/overwhelmed/stressed. Not sure if they were short-staffed or what but it appeared he was only one of two waiters for the entire restarurant. . He came by to get our drink order around 6:20 and then bolted like lightning before I had a chance to finish my sentence, didn't get to place our food order. Drinks took about 15 minutes to arrive, at which time we placed our food order(had to ask another staff person to place our order-time-sensitive since we had the show to attend). Food came around 6:45 so we had to eat a little fast. Two orders of swordfish, it was dry and not a lot of flavor. Not planning to return; had decided to eat here due to the 20 percent off special for pre-theater diners."

Located on beautiful Lake Kittamaqundi in the heart of downtown Columbia, Clyde's has been serving lunch and dinner daily, and Sunday brunch, since 1975. With a seasonal American cuisine menu, diners can enjoy Wild Alaska Salmon in season, Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes, Filet Mignon, or a delicious Bacon Cheeseburger. Sunday brunch features favorites like French Toast, Eggs Maryland and Steak and Eggs. Serving a late-night menu, Clyde's is the place to go after a movie or a concert at nearby Merriweather Post. The Tomato Palace, our delightful Italian restaurant right next door, serves homemade pastas, wood-fired oven pizza, and a variety of salads, sandwiches and Italian entrees.

We do not accept reservations for outside dining.
