Arno Ristorante serves tasty Northern Italian specialties in the heart of the Garment District. We are only a few blocks from Madison Square Garden and the Theater District.

"we miss the French restaurant that had been there for years...but glad someone took over the space. More restaurants are needed in the neighborhood. Nice food and drink menu."

Restaurateurs Vittorio Assaf and Fabio Granato brought their love for French culture and cuisine to New York City by giving the Big Apple an authentic slice of France when they opened Brasserie Cognac de Monsieur Ballon in April 2008. Located in the theater district and frequented by celebrities, businessmen, locals and tourists, the setting is both exciting and charming. The Brasserie style menu offers French classics . Guests can choose to dine in the outdoor sidewalk café, casual original French bakery, classic main dining room, lively bar/lounge or the private Cognac Room as they enjoy meals complimented by 102 varieties of cognac and a gorgeous wine list including first-growth Bordeaux sold by the glass.

"We made a reservation to sit outside; we checked and said we were going to have a drink at the bar 1st they told us to just let them know when we were ready to sit. We did, but they gave our table away so we were stuck with 2 small high tops put together for the 6 of us. Guess reservations do not mean anything. I tried the fish and chips before, and they were terrible, so this time two of us tried the French Dip. It was fatty and tasteless [my guest told me the next day that the food upset his stomach]. The rest of our party had burgers which were fine."

"At this time of year, the restaurants in the area offer 2 for 1s, which gave us the opportunity of trying someplace new. That being said, it was our 1st time there. The atmosphere is quaint and cozy, the food is home cooked good, and the staff was super nice and appreciative for our business. We will definitely be back."
