"Seeing good reviews, we thought we would celebrate our anniversary there. Interesting location among all the high rises; Glad to see that this gem of a hotel was saved. I was concerned when we came in the back gate off the boardwalk and did not see anyone at the pool and back bar was closed up. Walking in, nice, simple decor / atmosphere. Bar cocktails and appetizers were very good and a good value. We came specifically for the Halibut that was posted on their website menu...but was told that that was their opening menu from March and they did not update the web menu. Great salads and side dishes...but our entrees were smaller than the appetizers. If they want to survive, they need to double the size of their entree portions."

The Mekong River, or Khong, as it is referred to by locals, has long served as the central form of connectivity from the Tibetan Plateau down through Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. It brings together the people and their varying cultures while its banks and valleys create one of the world’s most biodiverse and fertile areas. This melding of disparate tastes, ingredients, and techniques has resulted in the bold, complex harmony that is the hallmark of authentic Southeast Asian cuisine.

"This was our 1st time here and was impressed on several levels. The server came over to us and welcomed us by last name, per our reservation. The decor was nicely done with a mix and match of textures. The staff was very attentive and seemed to really care about the customers. The food was great. If we lived there, we would be regulars. A lush green landscape, tranquil fountains and a remarkable view of the downtown skyline make Cafe Pinot one of LA's most cosmopolitan restaurants. Our executive chef draws inspiration from the garden setting, creating light, elegant dishes that highlight the best of each season. The restaurant features exquisite patio and indoor dining, offering the perfect setting to complement an evening at the Music Center or Staples Center.

"The decor is very nice and is in a nice location within a park in the middle of downtown LA. The food is very good, but the entrees were so small that after spending $200 for the 2 of us we went to Bottega Louie and split a sandwich after dinner."

"I have been here several times and have never been disappointed. It is towards the south end of the strip so is less hectic. Broad menu, nice outdoor seating, great service with large portions... so you get what you pay for. Cute little bar off the lobby."
